The entrance was quite depressing. The staircase was impressive, but when we reached the the third floor it was rather down at heel, it's the only floor that hasn't been carpeted properly and decorated. The corridor to the apartment was quite dark and the sensor light above the door only stays on for about 10 seconds, not long enough to open the door. The apartment has been done up quite well and the views are amazing. Unfortunately the small things let it down. The place was very warm when we arrived, bacon rolls and milk were left out on the kitchen counter, rather than in the fridge. Shame because it was a nice touch, there were no parking scratch cards, so we had to pay for parking, we couldn't reach the housekeeper to ask for some has the number that was given said unobtainable when we rang. We eventually contacted the owner. There was only one set of keys, which was difficult. The place had not been cleaned properly. It is such a shame as these small details make all the difference. The place is lovely, the decor is good and the location is excellent. I would stay there again but would be prepared and not put off by the initial impression.
