The cottage itself, as I said, met expectations and provided a good base from which we visited all the places we had planned.. The statement in your details regarding off road parking was accurate though I doubt whether anything larger than a Fiat 500 could comfortably access the entrance to the 'parking area' at the rear of the property. The owner's information notes in the cottage advised that cars should be parked on-street opposite the property but could not be parked off road to the front of the property because of the need to keep the shared access clear, even though it appeared to be only pedestrian access for the neighbour.
The rear 'sitting area' was a mix of ancient rough concrete, loose low walling, and a patio in need of some TLC.
The views across open fields in the details could be construed as misleading or irrelevant as the only view from the rear was of a wilderness of rampant nettles and other invasive wasteland species from which the neighbour was probably kept busy defending his well kept garden.
