At one end of the green the popular Bay Horse Inn serves good food and drink. Pretty footpaths run from Ravensworth through the surrounding villages allowing visitors to enjoy many circular walks. Close by are the popular Swaledale market town of Richmond and the Teesdale market town of Barnard Castle. Both offer a wide range of amenities and shops. A lovely restful location!

The location, the barn and the owners were all delightful. The garden at the property was particularly enjoyable. The property was very spacious and well equipped. Good bathrooms and lots of fridge space. Very relaxing week despite the cold northerly wind!! Loads of excellent walking, scenery, villages within easy driving distance. An excellent holiday.

The owner of the property Lindsay was very helpful , and not intrusive at all ,the cottage was excellent , roomy , great for family/friend gatherings, and we loved that the layout was mostly upstairs which gave great views over the surrounding countryside, equipped with everything one could need .Loved the garden area provided to us. The local pub the Bay Horse served great food and was walking distance which was perfect. Would definitely consider using this cottage again , and would recommend to our family and friends without hesitation.

Staying on the end of a beautiful quiet village right next to a footpath ideal for a short stroll with the dogs either into the peaceful village with its wide open Green or along the footpath next to a stream. Bed linen and towels provided were really clean and fresh! Really good shower! The barn itself was a pleasure to stay in.
