A serene beautiful place to stay, all you wish in a cottage / bungalow.. It is in a secluded gated piece of land with owners next door and ne other lodge on site. The gardens are securely gated and fenced so if taking a dog with you you are secure in the knowledge unless a really small dog it cannot get out.The grounds around are smashing with a huge pond with plenty of fish, ducks and the varied wildlife around is wonderful to observe. One draw back for some would be an airport close by which means a fairly busy fly past by helicopters and planes , but, the only noise is momentary and interesting, night time noise is limited from the airport but can start around 6.30am. We had a lovely week and the weather was gorgeous again, our second time here this year, two more weeks to look forward to.

Although this had no effect on our holiday we do believe it should be mentioned that you are more or less under the Norwich air-flight path, as I say this did not bother us a we were out and about all day but it could effect others, not everyone from out of the area would realise how near it is.. As for us we enjoyed cottage.

Had a very relaxing time loved the planes the welcome pack was very nice please .... Had a very relaxing time loved the planes the welcome pack was very nice please could you provide a long handle sweeping brush as this would make sweeping the floor easier for people with less mobility that can not push the vacuum cleaner the holiday was perfect would love to come again

If you are using a SatNav to find this property make sure its maps are up to date, the Norwich Distribution Road has led to quite a few closures of side roads.. Didn't help that my SatNav did not recognise the post code. Good location for visiting Norwich and the coast.

Its so peaceful and love the plane spotting very exciting We have been to both cottages now and we are back in June 19 and November 19 too we hope.. We could just move in and never go home Its very cosy and comfortable biut probally put on weight cosy meals by celebrity in the jungle. Our dog just loves it as well, hes sad to leave, he like laying on the terrace area and watching the world go by, hes a sha pei and getting on now. So likes the home comforts of a peacefull life sitting on his huge dog bed. Its cosy

Location of foxley lodge was very private,no passing traffic,a few passing planes/helicopter's a day was no problem.. They added a bit extra to the holiday. Sue & Gary are a lovely couple, nothing was any trouble if you wanted anything. If you wanted privacy it was there if you wanted it. Welcome pack was very handy after our 4 day drive up from Spain. Would stay again as it was clean & very comfortable.

We were not told that planes went over was very noisy.. The pebble drive was hard for me to walk on being disabled, the floor boards creaked on every move, we actually came home early as we had ,had enough , the cottage was very dim too much on the walls for a small place. We sure won't be booking this cottage again

Sue and Gary owned the property and lived next door.. They introduced themselves and were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a problem occur that was no fault of theirs but was cured as soon as was physically possible. Brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble.

Foxley Wood Cottage is truly lovely, set off the road with its own parking and garden which was perfect for our little dog.. The decor inside is gorgeous with vintage signs and up cycled furniture. If you’re looking for a base to explore Norwich, the Norfolk broads and the coast then I couldn’t recommend this place more.

This is a beautiful cottage placed in the heart of Norfolk with easy access to the centre of Norwich and all the surrounding features of Norfolk including the great coastal towns and boards.. Never more than an hour drive to anywhere in the county, often much less. Also don't be fooled by the close proximity of the airport as you can hardly hear any of the planes coming and going, in fact most of us who live near a road hear more of general traffic, which is what you don't hear here as it is set back from the road some 70m or so. The owners are most welcoming and always concerned about their visitors' comfort so don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. We are looking forward to our next visit for another relaxing time in Norfolk. Many thanks Sue and Gary.
