If you’re seeking a comfortable base in central Canterbury, this Scandi-style cottage is just the ticket. There’s no parking here, but the city is easily explored on foot, with Canterbury Cathedral, the Roman Museum and Whitefriars within walking distance. This Georgian home dates back to the 1800s, and you’ll find that the original staircase may be a little steep for some. The second bedroom is also a little snug – we think it works best for one adult or two children. That said, the cosy living room is a sweet spot to unwind after sightseeing, while the walled garden welcomes you to enjoy a glass of wine during the warmer months.
Home truths: *This home is spread over two floors, and the stairs are a little steep, so please keep that in mind when booking.
*The smaller bedroom would comfortably sleep one adult or two children.
*There's a small desk in the second bedroom for remote working.
*Your host provides a starter supply of essentials and toiletries. If you run out, the nearest supermarket for stocking up is a short stroll away.
