Beautiful golden sand beaches with first-rate watersports facilities and a lively harbour where frequent fishing expeditions depart are both at your disposal. Weymouth is connected to Portland Harbour and the wild "Isle" of Portland by the stunning Chesil Beach. Just 7 miles away is Dorchester, the inspiration for Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," or you may take a drive along the coast and stop by Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. You may also just go to West Bay; the scenery along the Dorset Heritage Coast is breath-taking.
