The beautiful, lively harbour offers frequent fishing expeditions, while the beaches' gorgeous, golden sand offer first-rate facilities for all kinds of watersports. You can reach Portland Harbour and the untamed Isle of Portland, which is connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach, after a little drive. Only 7 miles away is Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge in Dorchester. You may also travel the beautiful coastline route and stop at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. Alternatively, simply go to West Bay and take in the breathtaking vistas of the Dorset Heritage Coastline!
