Area
This thriving area called Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated right at the very heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. Brewers Quay is a much loved location in Weymouth.

Used Drean cottages now sakes cottages for 14 years and never had a problem, booked this property , £1800 for the week, arrived and looks like it's not been updated since the 90's, relatively clean. Fridge freezer did not work properly and froze the contents of the fridge all of which needed discarding, and was held together with gaffer tape. oven door was lose and took 20 minutes to heat to 150! Light/shaver point in ensuite turned on and off on its own and came on again when whole fitting was moved, clearly a lose connection. Kitchen bin was dirty with mould in it, mildew in the ensuite shower, the washing machine smelt, there was a white power substance falling off the net curtains and the dinning table cover was sticky likewise the high chair. All issues reported to Dream / Sykes cottage with only the light fitting being fixed the whole time we were there. Then that was late Friday evening the night before we went home, with the person leaving dust and debris in the sink and over the floor and also left screws and wall plugs on the floor not good when you have a 3 year old running round. Numerous emails and social media messages before I got a response on the Friday with a generic apology and excuse of they had to contact the owner before doing anything, nothing happened, they emphasise that our contract is with the owner but refuse to give contact details, section 75 claw back will be issued on our return. The front of the house is used like a car park by anyone who can find a space, local trades, holiday makers etc even though it's no parking, right outside front door so awkward to get a buggy out and our paddle board which was impossible. Shame as its a nice house in great position just the customer service that's beyond a joke!
