Portland Harbour and the mountainous "Isle" of Portland are just a short drive away, connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach. Take a trip to nearby Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens or venture to nearby Dorchester, Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," located about 7 miles away. A second option is to just visit West Bay, where you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Dorset Heritage Coast.
