Surrounded by two acres of landscaped mature garden and with views over the Purbeck Hills, this holiday let is ideal for families with young explorers as well as those that prefer to appreciate the countryside from a comfy seat on the terrace. Set in a quiet village called East Holme, you ll see that you re in a perfect rural spot, yet still within easy driving distance of bustling towns like Wareham and Wool, both 3.5 miles away. Known as the gateway to Purbeck, Wareham boasts plenty of independent shops, restaurants and pubs as well as a museum, while quieter Wool features historic buildings such as the 14th century Woolbridge Manor House, the location of Tess honeymoon in Tess of the D Urbervilles. Inside, stunning slate tiled floors in the hall and kitchen diner give the property a splendid farmhouse style feel. As you enter the cottage there s a cloakroom with WC and pedestal basin, before heading round to the left to the kitchen. There s everything you need in here for a hearty meal, including an oven, microwave, fridge and a dishwasher although you might want to wash up at the sink just to take in the pretty views of the trees and shrubs through the window! Enjoy your home cooked meal in front of the ornamental fireplace at the large wooden dining table that s perfect for eight. Heading down a couple of steps into the neutrally decorated lounge, you ll find plenty of sofas to sink into in front of the wood burner, or throw open the patio doors and gaze out across the grounds. Relax in front of the Smart TV or even play some games on the Wii. Heading up to the first floor, a peaceful king size bedroom with an en suite awaits you; take a relaxing soak in the bath after a long day out walking. Kids will love the bunk and twin bedrooms that are accessed via three steps and sleep four comfortably, plus there are plenty of books to choose from for bedtime stories. Further along the landing is the main bathroom with WC and shower over the bath, while another double bedroom is situated at the end of the hall with soft, calming decor that promotes a great night s sleep. Outside, there are terraces on both sides of the house; one has patio furniture and a BBQ, making it the perfect evening spot for an al fresco bite to eat. The rest of the garden is ideal for outdoor games thanks to the large lawns, and thrill seeking children (and adults!) can venture into the woodland and play on the swings and ropes.
