This detached, 18th-century cottage has three bedrooms including a double with en-suite shower room, a double and a twin, along with a bathroom, a kitchen, a living/dining room with a fire and a sun room. Appliances include an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and hairdryer, and for entertainment there is a TV with digital channels, WiFi, DVD player, video player, and mini HiFi. Outside, there is roadside parking on a first-come, first-served basis and walled side and rear gardens with patio areas, lawn, furniture, hot tub and planting. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Sorry, this is a pet-free, smoke-free property. Please note that beach and hot tub towels are not included. Portland Bill, a promontory at the tip of the wild Isle of Portland peninsula, is connected to the mainland by Chesil Beach, a gravel spit that extends 18 miles in the direction of West Bay. Portland is home to three lighthouses, the most recent of which, the 35-meter-tall, white and red-striped Portland Bill Lighthouse, was completed in 1906. The Jurassic Coast, now a recognised World Heritage Site, and the Portland Bird Observatory, together with a bar and a restaurant/café, are nearby and make for a lovely day out.
