There are numerous well-marked footpaths extending out across this unspoilt countryside, and after enjoying a scenic stroll you can reward yourself with refreshment at the friendly local pub. A short drive takes you to the county market town of Dorchester, where you are spoilt for choice when it comes to a bit of retail therapy offering an array of interesting outlets from small independent shops to the usual high street retailers, together with a wide selection of different types of eateries, catering for all budgets. Take in excursions to the Dorset Jurassic Coast, picturesque Milton Abbas, or Tolpuddle, the home of the trade union movement, Athelhampton House or Monkey World and the Bovington Tank Museum, all an easy drive.
