In addition to two fantastic sandy beaches that are well-liked by children and surfers, Barnstaple is a bustling historic coastal town in Devon with a pannier market, shops, restaurants, and bars. The town is well known for its floral displays and has won a Britain in Bloom award; you may see flowers across the town, even in the most unexpected places. The picturesque Tarka line railway excursion, which passes through the breath-taking North Devon landscape of wooded river valleys, steep moorland, and a section of coastline, ends in Barnstaple.
