The nearby Grizedale Forest Park offers a variety of activities, such as several pleasant hikes, mountain biking, and the "Go Ape" adventure park. The "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness will be fun for kids to visit, and other towns like Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are also easily accessible.
