This cottage was a lovely clean cottage all on the ground floor. The location was excellent with all amenities close by and a great place to start exploring the Lake District and to relax on returning. There was everything you could possibly need during your stay. The furnishings were comfortable, the bathroom had a lovely shower everything was above our expectations. The train and bus station is nearby along with shops and restaurants. It is only about a 20 minute walk to the lake for boat trips and activities and more restaurants and shops. All in all we had a lovely week in Windermere and the cottage only added to our enjoyment. We can’t wait to return.

We stayed here for two weeks so the end of June to May 2019 the cottage had lots of cooking utensils and was nice and comfortable definitely enough for two people the bed was nice and comfortable we were right in Windermere but could not hear any noise at all very peaceful ideal for a weekend away or a week the only moan I have was we were there for two weeks and even though the housekeeping had been in didn’t change the bedding and never even vacuumed but everything else was fine thanks for a lovely stay will recommend to family and friends and will be back for weekends

Excellent location - middle of the village.. Very well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean. Lots of useful information in cottage. Supermarkets close by. Couldn't fault it (and, believe me, I'm not easily this pleased). Just one thing - could you order some better weather next time we come :-D

Very easy to pick up & drop off keys where the staff were very friendly.. Cottage was everything we expected, clean comfortable and easy to find. Great parking space which is important in the Lake District. Really enjoyed our week at Thyme Cottage.

Getting in and out of the shower, we had to be very careful as the bath has rather high sides, had to hold the handle! Also, would prefer a slimline washing machine to the dishwasher, don't have much washing up with only two, and eating out, apart from breakfast, and a sandwich.Otherwise it was a nice break. One other problem, the TV had very few channels that I could access, don't know why, or what we did wrong, but as the weather was so hot was spent time in the flat, in the evenings.

We had a most enjoyable holiday at the cottage it was central to all amenities and it was very comfortable and quiet considering how close we were from the town.. We would certainly book it again if we are going that way. Many thanks Mr&Mrs Britton

The situation of the cottage is perfect being right in the centre of Windermere.. There are numerous pubs and restaurants to eat out in within a couple of minutes walk. There is also an excellent chippy just around the corner. We had many walks in the week we stayed, some local and others that we drove to. I would certainly recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to stay in the Windermere area

A wonderful find, just a few minutes from Windermere High Street, and yet so quiet and tucked away! Inside it was quite small, but really warm and comfortable, The bedroom had a very comfortable bed. There was a very modern new bathroom with a lovely "over the bath" large shower head. There is a compact modern kitchen, which had everything you need, and a fairly small sitting room with 2 chairs with footrests, a TV, DVD player, plus a small table and 2 chairs. It was like a home from home. Outside, there is a parking space for 1 car, and a very small space with a couple of chairs to sit outside, but otherwise no garden. In the local are there are plenty of shops and restaurants within a very short walking distance, so it was lovely to be able to buy food easily, or to eat out within the local area. It was a lovely base to be able to go out to different places during the day. We loved it - it was just right for two people, and we would definitely return!

College Court apartment was perfect for a 5 night break in Windermere for my husband and I. It is a lovely, bright, clean apartment in a great location (very close to Windermere High Street and only 5 minute drive to Lake Windermere itself). The apartment had everything we needed and the beds and sofas were very comfortable. It is modern and well decorated. Windermere is a 15 minute drive to ambleside & Grasmere which are lovely places to walk. We have a lovely stay here and highly recommend the apartment.

A lovely appartment, wonderfully decorated with everything you would need for a nice getaway. Also very conveniently near the bus stop for travelling around the lake district without a car. A wonderful spot, we look forward to coming again. Only downside- no shower curtain!
