The pictures listed make this place look much bigger than it actually is. It's completely unsuitable for four people. Also kitchen equipment old and a musty smell. Wish we had booked somewhere else.

A very clean small cottage. Everything was as described and also clean and tidy. Parking for one car which is not the most convienient as you have to park close to a wall and bushes. The latter can be wet. The approach roads are rough. Some pleasing walks straight from the property. I would recommend.

The coachmans cottage is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful location.. It had everything we required and the owner was kind enough to check that everything was alright. I would heavily recommend as a little getaway from any big town or city.

The arrival instruction was spot on and easy to follow.. When we arrived at the cottage, it was perfectly clean and we were grateful for a welcome cake and milk in the fridge so we could settle with a brew. The log burner was definitely needed as when we arrived the cottage was very cold. The cottage warmed up for the next few nights of our stay so we thought it may have been empty for a while before. The location was lovely, and we enjoyed the walk to the local pub and back. The short walks around the cottage were also very pleasant with some beautiful view points on the way round. The neighbours were friendly which was also a bonus. They were happy to advise us on which pub to go to and the best way to get there. Netflix was a nice surprise so we were able to cosy up with a good film in front of the fire.

I just loved it.. Travelling solo is a bit daunting but I certainly would book this cottage again. Good area for pottering. Had a little concern over the track up to the cottage but all fine. Cake as a welcome gets my vote. One of the previous comments was uncharitable regarding the furniture and I couldn't fault the way it's all been done. The little garden outside perfect little sun trap with a babbling brook. I felt very at home .

Coachman's Cottage was visually just as we expected and situated in an attractive and peaceful setting.. The cottage was very well equipped. Most of the furniture in the sitting room was of 'house clearance' quality and appearance which did not particularly concern us, since we were only there in the evenings and overnight. Our main complaint was the bed. The bed itself was of a very cheap quality and the mattress was literally coming apart at the seams. We tried to sleep on it for two nights but on the next day we called the owner. He came promptly and when we voiced our complaint he said that he knew the mattress needed replacing but 'didn't realise it was that bad'!!! We told him we were not prepared to sleep on it again and he said he could arrange to get a replacement mattress that day but not a new bed. We accepted this and on our return that evening a new mattress had been installed. This was of a foam type certainly not of the quality we are used to at home but we did manage to sleep on it. Our view is that the most important item in any accommodation is the bed and that this should always be a priority provision by the owner. We would have expected a good quality interior sprung mattress as we have usually had when renting cottages elsewhere. This episode has certainly coloured our view of Coachman's Cottage and we would not recommend it to anyone else for that reason. It has also questioned whether we would rent through Sykes Cottages again.

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting.. The cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a most enjoyable stay. Rural, through a wood but within approx half a mile from the main A590. The one or two neighbours we met were helpful and friendly. The only thing I would mention is that the shower was not very powerful but this could be down to the outside mains pressure. I did not mention in my comments to the owners as it may be outside their control and it certainly did not spoil our wonderful stay. An additional bonus was that the sun shone every day! I would certainly recommend this cottage to friends.

The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable.. Everything we needed for the week was there and we even had fresh flowers and cake for our arrival. It was exactly as described on the website. Throughly enjoyed our week.
