Briar is an attractive, terraced cottage set on the Graythwaite Estate near Hawkshead in the Lake District. Hosting three bedrooms; a double with en-suite and two singles, along with a shower room, this cottage can sleep four people. There's also a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside, there is ample off road parking, a private patio with furniture and BBQ and shared use of estate grounds and facilities. With access to an indoor heated pool, a children's play area, and a fly fishing lake, plus the many delights of the Lake District on the doorstep, Briar provides a wonderful base for groups to enjoy a fantastic break.

Hawkshead is a small village steeped in history with links to William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter and boasting a selection of teashops, stores, pubs, gift shops, a gallery, exhibition centre, and so much more! Nearby is the hamlet of Newby Bridge and popular attractions at Aquarium of the Lakes, Windermere Lake Cruises, Ambleside, Bowness and Lakeside. Hawkshead offers so much wonder to visitors of all ages.

Shops 4 miles, pubs 3.5 miles. Note: Limited mobile reception. Note: Kindling and coal available from the farm shop. Note: The table tennis room is available, but please bring your own racquets and balls. Note: License required for fishing, equipment can be hired locally, fishing FOC unless catch is made, then small fee applicable.The swimming pool can be booked for 45 minute private sessions, All guests can pre-book 3 swimming slots ( or 2 slots for shorter stays) 7 days prior to arrival by contacting estate@graythwaite.com (Please bring swim towels, as the towels provided are only for use in the property).
