Brampton s market town (13.5 miles) lies just 2 miles south of Hadrian s Wall with nearby Birdoswald Roman Fort and Banks Turret and also lovely walks in Talkin Tarn Country Park and Gelt Woods RSPB nature reserve. Experience Hadrian s Wall history through the Roman Army Museum (9.5 miles) and the amazing Vindolanda (14.5).
