Perched above Watergate Bay, this apartment is all about the sea views. Beach days here are a breeze – just step out the front door, and you'll be on the sand in less than five minutes. If you're in town for excellent surfing, you'll find handy surf storage in the basement. Of course, the panoramas are what really steal the show here – and the balcony offers the perfect vantage point to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The interiors are comfortable and pared-back, but well-suited to families. We think it's a great option if you want to be moments from the coast.

Home truths:
*While you won't need a car to reach the beach, we suggest having one for adventures further afield. There's open-air parking near the building.
*Given the central location right above the beach, expect to hear some noise during your stay, particularly during the high season.
*There's a cellar in the building's basement where you can store a surfboard and other equipment.
