The cottage is approached via a long private driveway, which allows guests to feel as if they are truly getting away from it all. However, many of Cornwall s attractions are within easy reach, with the attractive village of Port Isaac, the location for TV s Doc Martin, only five miles away offering stunning coastal walks, a small fleet of fishing boats, a number of craft shops and, in the summer months, the chance to take a boat trip from the harbour. One of Cornwall s finest beaches, Polzeath, is just four miles around the coast from Port Isaac and the towns of Tintagel, Padstow and Rock are within easy reach too. This semi detached property is a lovely example of a cosy country cottage, with many period features in evidence. The lounge has a large feature fireplace and painted beams, as well as the modern touches you would expect, in the shape of a TV and DVD. The kitchen is, again, an attractive mix of old and new, with its original slate floor, cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave. The property s two bedrooms are on the first floor, which is reached by open tread stairs. There is one double room and a pretty triple with three single beds, which overlooks the garden below. The property s bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Outside, there is a large enclosed private garden with seating and lawn. Guests are also able to visit the owner s many pet animals which include guinea pigs, tortoises, ducks, sheep, exotic birds, their own resident dogs and more.
