While you're in the area, travel towards the thriving town of Truro with it’s grand Victorian Truro Cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and many independent shops, for a look into historical architecture, boat trips down the River Fal to the historic ports of Falmouth and St Mawes. You are within easy reach of Cornwall's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with plenty of country and coastal attractions to explore, including an array of white sandy beaches which give opportunities for those more active types to enjoy some watersports, including Cornwall's favourite sport of surfing! You are ideally placed within reach of the St. Agnes Heritage Coast and The Roseland Heritage Coast for a plethora of countryside attractions and lovely sandy beaches waiting for you to enjoy a fun-filled family day out sunbathing, or taking the opportunity to learn how to surf. There is plenty to discover in this lovely rural area of Cornwall, and is well-worth a trip. Within eight miles, there are many activities such as kayaking from Looe Beach on the River Fal, bike hire from Bissoe for the coast to coast mining trail, and horse riding at various riding stables. Take a long woodland walk through the National Trust property of Trelissick Garden, featuring an art gallery and a bookshop for those who want a spot of culture, or visit The Tate at St Ives, St Michael’s Mount or The Eden Project.
