We stayed in Hook Cottage in February, and we found it to be an absolutely delightful place to stay! Cosy and warm inside (less so outside!), with comfortable beds and warm bedding, lovely kitchen and living area with a log burner - which came into it’s own when the biggest storms in decades hit late in our stay. Talking of which, Siobhan ensured we had everything we needed when power cuts were anticipated, and kept us informed of when the power was expected back on along with other important information, like the local eateries/pubs that had their power restored - and extra torches to ensure we could see!!
The cottage had a range of books, games and tv (complete with live stream to their very own nesting owls), so plenty to keep us busy in between trips out and about.
Siobhan and Clive were full of ideas and suggestions of popular places to visit along with lesser known venues that are worth an explore, although we passed on the wild swimming this time
With everything you need for a wonderful Cornish break, we would not hesitate to recommend both the venue and the hosts. We’ll be back, and maybe brave a swim next time! Thank you.
