Unfortunately holiday ruined by the bird scare guns every hour which spooked our dog so had to leave early..

Lovely, peaceful place which, although its on a working farm, is cleverly positioned so that it feels as though its on its own.. This means that you don't see any of the farm traffic or other people unless you want to. Lots of good dog-walking country in surrounding area and the cottage itself is clean, has plentiful hot water, a thoughtful welcome pack (much appreciated, thank you) and everything else you could need. Plenty of space to park, dog-friendly gardens and it all feels nicely safe and secure. My one suggestion would be to improve/update the garden furniture, currently its an unmovable (heavy) picnic bench but that's a very minor issue. The real delight is no road-traffic noise and minimal light pollution, falling asleep under starlight and waking up to bird song is exactly what a holiday ought to be about. Its also within 4/5 miles of half a dozen beaches and bays and the south west coast path.

The cottage was brilliant - homely and fab fire! Everything we needed (including a lovely welcome package!) the grounds were fantastic too and we loved exploring with the peacocks, piglets and cat. The wind powered mill was epic! We will definitely be revisiting, was fantastic! Thank you :)

Lovely house with everything we needed for a super relaxing holiday.. House is bright and cheerful. Surrounded by farm fields, peaceful and very dog friendly. Front and rear gardens. Have already booked to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what was a lovely little cottage, however, we were disappointed to have to clean up at least 6 lots of dog waste from the garden in order that our 3 year old grand daughter could actually play outside.. We had our dog with us and like to think that we are responsible enough to clear up any of her waste, but clearly, the previous occupants couldn't be bothered. whilst we accept that it is no fault of the owners, we feel the garden could have been checked more thoroughly prior to our arrival.

The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings, on a lovely farm which you are allowed to wonder were ever you like and the area is outstanding.. Unfortunately the cottage wasn’t quite what we were expecting. It’s a bit tired - paint peeling, kitchen units falling apart, beds are past their best with lumpy mattresses. Shower was either freezing or too hot to stand under, took a very long time to get temperature ok. The whole property was very dusty with cobwebs everywhere. Overall it’s a lovely cottage - just needs to be updated. Certainly doesn’t warrant the four ticks you have given it. I just wonder when the last time Sykes checked it over. Ive booked through Sykes many times and always been delighted with properties but am sorry to say that I was really let down with this cottage.

Great location and beautiful cottage.. Lots of animals on the Farm to see, enjoyed by our 7month old son. Good access to lots of villages, towns and beaches within 15 mins. We will definitely be back.

An excellent secluded cottage that provided a perfect base for our Cornwall holiday.. Certainly lived up to our needs and the dogs had plenty of space around the area for walks. We will definitely consider a return in the future.
