Area
Newlyn is the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all sea baring craft. Visitors can still watch the landing and auctioning of fish at the market, as families have for centuries before. This village is clustered around the harbour, with its 800 year old quay curling around boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the village, as does the Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. Wildlife and flora can be enjoyed, with sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.

Region
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

The dishwasher did not work and clearly it had not been working for some time as some of the crockery was not properly clean..

This was our 4th stay at Trevorrow House as we like it so much and it feels like a home away from home.. Very comfortable and close to the amenities in Newlyn including; a great & friendly chip shop, the "world famous" Jelbert's ice creams, Newlyn Meadery, Newlyn Art Gallery and the art-house cinema. Great location for exploring West Cornwall with a fantastic choice of many world class beaches within a 20 minute drive e.g. Sennen, Porthcurno, St. Ives & Carbis Bay. Walking distance into Penzance along the only promenade in Cornwall or in the opposite direction to Mousehole around the coast road. The house is located on the main Penzance to Newlyn road but we didn't really notice traffic noise as we live in outer London. The parking area is a little tight for modern 4x4's but can be done, there is ample unrestricted parking within 50m of the house, so not really a problem.

Just a suggestion but a row of coat hooks just inside the front door to.. Hang coats would be useful.

You really shouldn't describe the property as having a parking space ( it would have to be a very small car and there is no drop kerb ).. The only other disappointment is the level of road noise, a narrow and very busy road and the noise becomes obtrusive from about 6am. Other than that a nice well equipped property. I would imagine parking during the main summer months would be a problem.

We were really Pleased with Trevorrow House itself , it was comfortable and clean, however, the noise levels from the road traffic were incredibly disturbing.. It was advertised as free parking just nearby. This was untrue. we had to park in a residential area , opposite the Art Gallery and were fortunate to get one of the limited spaces, taking the risk of residents complaining about occupying their car parking space

Lovely house.. Felt like home rather than a holiday cottage. Only issue was that the house is right on the main road, so there is a fair amount of traffic noise. However, other than that the location is perfect for walking to the pub, cinema, shop - or along the coastal path to Mousehole (lovely walk and village) or Penzance (not so pretty, but a leisurely nice walk along the front). Would thoroughly recommend the house as it's good value for money and would be more expensive no doubt if it wasn't on the main road.

A really nice house verywell equipped and with enough rooms ans space.. Great WIFI for our children and a few yards to and from the bus stations. If we come back again we would try to book this cottage again. The only thing to mention: we missed a hairdryer in the house and your link was not compatible to my Austrian mobile phone. Yours sincerely family Hermann Austria

The car parking space at the cottage was really very narrow and we didn't attempt to put the car in as you struggled to open the car door.. The paid parking around the back would have been expensive if it had been working, so that would have been an extra expense. The cottage is very well stocked - wanted for nothing including lots of toys for the children and beach equipment so excellent from that perspective.
