Area
The large market town of Keighley is situated in Aire valley in West Yorkshire, within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town, mentioned in the Domesday Book, grew during the 18th and 19th centuries due to wool and cotton industries. Today Keighley offers a shopping centre, pubs, takeaways and restaurants, whilst on the outskirts of the town are two retail parks, and the Keighley and Worth Valley Light Railway, made famous by the film The Railway Children in the 1970’s, runs for five miles through the town to the village of Oxenhope. Just one mile out of town is the wonderful 17th century National Trust East Riddlesden Hall, and just four miles away is the village of Haworth, made famous as the home to the Bronte sisters. The village offers cobbled streets, lovely shops and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Close by is the market town of Skipton and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, plus within driving distance are the city of York and delightful Harrogate. A lovely base to explore a large part of Yorkshire.

We have stayed with Sally & Haydn several times and they were the perfect hosts being friendly and welcoming. When my partner had to go to hospital because of an illness and kept in for several days they were supportive and couldn't have done more for us. The house was full of character with comfortable rooms & beds, the kitchen had everything in that we needed, and there was plenty of space. They had beautifully large garden with chickens and a fish pond and they welcomed pets too. It was a short walk to the beach with a cafe, and even shorter walk to the friendly pub. There's plenty to see in Cornwall and some stunning walks nearby and quaint villages with pubs & restaurants. Overall it was a lovely relaxing & reasonably priced holiday and we'll definitely go back and stay again in the future.

One of the most lovely rentals I’ve stayed in. Beautiful well thought out decor and plenty of attention to detail in the furnishings and the beds so comfy, each bedroom with its own personality. Lots to look at in this house with a beautiful collection of art on h the walls. Set away from the road, it was lovely and peaceful with only a short walk through the village to the beach (passing a nearby pub ) What I loved most was the kitchen and dining room. The place was immaculate, garden well kept. Sally and Haydn were very gracious hosts and were happy to help when we needed them. I would definitely stay again. Wonderful place for a large family or group booking and dog friendly too.

A beautifully presented, clean and tidy house, with a lovely outdoor space too. Such luxuriously comfortable beds with proper cotton bedding, pure comfort. Each room is decorated to a very high standard and individually designed. I found everything I needed to enjoy my stay and the hosts were on hand to answer any questions. They have wealth of local knowledge about the area, local beauty spots and hidden gems. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all.

We had a great stay at this lovely house in beautiful Cornwall. I loved the size of the property, it is large and therefore provided plenty of room for 3 generations. The bedrooms are cozy and beautifully decorated. The grandchildren loved it, they particularly enjoyed the garden and the bird watching. It is a relatively short walk to the beach albeit a bit steep on the way home.

We loved our stay here together. It was so lovely get off the beaten track and stay is this idyllic part of Cornwall. The accommodation was lovely, we had everything we needed and we felt very relaxed. Sally and Hayden were on hand if we needed anything. They are very knowledgeable about the area which was a great help to us especially as we found we have a shared a love of walking. We fell in love with this area of Cornwall and the cottage, we will definitely return and stay here again.

A lovely welcoming house which is full of character and deceptively large. The separate lounges and dining area make it an ideal space for families to share - there was space to be together, or for the kids and adults to do there own thing as well. A really beautiful part of Cornwall too - there are fishing villages, cliff top walks, beautiful beaches and coves and friendly local pubs to explore. There is a beach which is also a short walk from the house too. There is a good size garden, which is lovely for alfresco dining or just lounging in the hammock or soaking up the sun. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and we plan to return again this year. Would highly recommend!

We arrived after a long drive down and I wasn't feeling at all well. The owners were very kind and Sally took me to the local hospital A&E to get seen and then when I Returned they were very very kind. The gardens are beautiful and the house was clean and tidy, and very quirky. I loved it. The bed I slept in was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. I woke up feeling refreshed every day. We went swimming every day and the local beaches are stunningly beautiful. Perfect place to get away from it all. Just a quick heads up . The only issue we had was getting a parking ticket when using a blue badge in the local car parks. We are used to having free parking with a blue badge but in Cornwall you have to pay.
