Solano is comfortable and deceptively spacious, with a fresh, airy feel and glimpses of the sea and far hills from its sunny balcony. Set in an open area overlooking the park, it offers easy access to the beach, bus stop and a shop. Inside, an open-plan living space with French doors brings the outside in, while two bedrooms and a smart shower room create a simple, well-organised base for coastal days.
The sitting area includes two large leather sofas and space to dine, and the well-equipped kitchen benefits from floor and wall cupboards and dual-aspect windows. A bright double bedroom comfortably accommodates a cot if needed, and the twin room is styled with a playful touch. Practical details such as a small under-counter fridge-freezer, washing machine, partial laminate flooring with carpeted bedrooms and a handy hallway with coat pegs keep holiday living effortless, while parking is immediately outside.

A Message from the Owner
Solano is the ideal place for some quality chill-out time (from personal experience!). Envisage yourself having breakfast on the balcony as the sun rises over the park, before perhaps spending the day on the beach or further afield, before ending the day with a glass in hand on the balcony, as the sun begins to set over the bay. Enjoy your stay. The Owner

The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes’ walk of the beach.
On the Doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide along the beach from the Hayle river mouth to the cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian, where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice-creams and fresh seafood at the local cafés and restaurants.
For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddleboarding and kayaking on the estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing, are popular year-round. Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice-cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.
Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St Ives, and visit Tate and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Visit Newlyn Harbour and the fish market for the best in Cornish fish. Wander around the historic market town of Penzance, taking in the harbour and Egyptian House, or take a day trip to Land’s End and the coastal walk to Sennen Cove. Find your way to Knill’s Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve, a 40-acre public open space overlooking St Ives Bay, before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach. Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series, most recently the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action-packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.
Winter Stays
The winter season runs from 1 November until 1 April (or the week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier). Bracing beach walks and peaceful evenings make this a lovely time to visit.
