Pugwash Cottage is a lovely terraced house based in Falmouth, Cornwall. It has three bedrooms: one ground floor double, one first floor double and one first floor single, with a separate family bathroom. Downstairs has an open-plan living room with a fitted kitchen and dining area. Outside has a patio area with furniture and access to shared gardens, on-site restaurant and plunge pool (not available until after Easter 2021). Pugwash Cottage is ideal for a short break or cosy holiday. Note: Sorry, no sign written vans or commercial vehicles are permitted at Pendra Loweth, Village of Gardens resort. Note: Bookings for any other reason than holiday/leisure are not permitted on this site. This property cannot be used as private accommodation for work or business trips

Falmouth is a town and civil parish in Cornwall, England, situated on the coast. It has access to a number of nearby beaches, with scenic views across the estuary. Offering a wide selection of pubs, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafés in the area. With plenty of historical sites to be seen and is within driving distance of other neighbouring towns and villages with a range of amenities.

Note: The shared splash/plunge pool is approximately 3 metres on either side with a 1.4 metre depth.It has a maximum capacity of 4 people at any one time. Note: Car charging points are available outside of the office next to the disabled car parking bay. Note: Property doesn't have Wifi facility.

We booked this cottage for the 3 of us as it had 3 bedrooms as seemed brilliant for our girls break that we have every year. After a 6 hour drive , we arrived at the cottage to find it in a disgraceful state and the sofa very badly stained as well as the throw and the cushions. We immediately got on the telephone to Sykes within 20 mins of arrival and after 48 hours some cleaners were sent in to remove the sofa covers and the pillows and throw and wash them. They also cleaned the cottage, which had clearly not been done properly. Thankfully the beds were clean but the towel rail in the bathroom has wiring exposed ! which after discussion with an electrician was clearly dangerous. We had a weeks holiday disrupted numerous times with phone calls to Sykes and eventually maintenance engineers coming in through our sitting room while we were relaxing to replace the dangerous towel rail. The mains board was due to be tested in 2022 and not done . We have not been able to speak to the owner and have had to do everything through Sykes , and now after lodging a complaint with Sykes we have heard absolutely nothing 10 days on. No apology and no good will gesture of some small amount of compensation for the hassle we have had during our stay at Pugwash cottage. The outside chairs were mouldy and broken and the tap in the kitchen leaked badly when turned on . The garden was not enclosed so totally unusable for pets . We had to re wash glasses in the kitchen cupboards and eventually decided to come home a day early. We have booked cottages through Sykes previously , but they are clearly trying to ignore this complaint and we are unable to get in touch with the owner ourselves to raise our issues. Totally unsatisfactory.

This was booked because no other cottages were available.. Reviews on another site suggested basic standards of equipment, however this was not our experience! OK, there is no Wi-Fi, but there is a fully equipped kitchen.. It even has an electric whisk for whipping up cakes! Sparkling clean, comfy beds. Whitest of white bedding and towels. Plenty of crockery and cutlery of student digs variety. Flat screen TV in lounge smaller ones in bedrooms. A downstairs double bedroom next to downstairs cloakroom which lacks a shower.. It could be re jigged. The shower upstairs is within the bath, so difficult for less mobile people. Outside, is a paved area with picnic style table and benches great for bbqs. Nice and warm with extra heaters available. Set in beautiful gardens with a stream running down to Maenporth beach, 20 mins walk away. A great place to stay

The cottage was really spacious and so well equipped and comfortable.. We have a little dog and the provisions for her stay were exceptional and much better than we anticipated with pet mats and hardwood floors. There is plenty of parking, allocated spaces and unmarked spaces, which we needed as we were two couples in two cars. The lounge/resteraunt had limited opening but we were early in the season and the parc is so convenient for shopping in Falmouth.
