Area Crantock is a small Cornish village, set back from the coast, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Kareena is a stunning property with the most amazing views of Crantock beach.. It is in a perfect location, being just a short stroll from the beach in one direction and the cosy and welcoming village pub in the other. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need and property manager is friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with the heating but this was sorted out promptly. The house was plenty spacious enough for our family group of 8 and we felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. We loved it so much that we have already booked again for next year!

Out of this world! Modern, clean, spacious - a total joy to live in (I want to stay here and not go back to grotty Bristol).
Whoever designed this house is a genius. It was perfect for two children, 9 and 11, two burnt-out parents and two octogenarians who just sat and looked at the view and occasionally spotted grandchildren playing hide and seek in the dunes. Lots of walks which you can adapt for needs of all. Bath and showers needs 6 stars - boiler room looks like something out of science fiction (ground source heat pumps and solar). First UK house I’ve stayed in with plumbing that works! Well done Kareena, we love you!

Kareena is a lovely spacious house with wonderful views (when the sea mist stayed away).. The dunes are very steep to the beach at the end of the footpath especially coming back up with a pushchair but we managed it and the last part of the track to the house is tricky in places. The facilities in the house were very good and Crantock is a lovely village, the church is worth visiting.

We have stayed in Crantock many times, and this is our 2nd visit to Kareena, and it won't be our last, we love this place.. Its perfect for a big family holiday and Kareenas location is fantastic for beach access and coastal walks. Having an evening meal on the terrace with a view of Crantock bay at sunset as your own back garden is just the best!

Kareena exceeded our expectations. Inside and out, the house is clean and ordered. The spaces are generous, the furnishings and fittings are high-quality, understated and modern, and the location is perfect for the beach and pub. We were treated to some stunning Atlantic sunsets framed by the wide triple-glazed french windows in the living-room.
In addition to the above some nice touches were: the scones and clotted cream left there for us, the egyptian cotton sheets, the glass box shower cubicles, the extra-long bath, the comprehensive and articulate information file,
Access to the village and the beach is easy and the walk down the path to the dunes and beach was a favourite. Crantock beach is wonderful for adults and kids alike - rock pools, caves, endless sand, great surfing, and very well looked after by the RNLI lifeguards with their dune buggies, pickups and RIBs.
We have stayed in many rented houses in the UK and abroad, and Kareena was one of the best.

This must be one of the best located cottages in Crantock; we had a very enjoyable week and were delighted with the quality of the accommodation..

We were beyond delighted with Kareena and it was beyond expectations! I would rebook this property for next year but it is already booked! My only disappointment is that I don't think any other property will be as good as Kareena!

this was our second time at Kareena and we love this house, the outlook to the dunes and sea. It has been built to the highest standard of comfort. Thoroughly recommended.

Eight of us, including a one year old toddler, stayed here for a week in June. The house is peaceful with just the roar of the sea to break the quiet. As others have said it is well located for both the village and beach, however, be prepared for a very steep walk up the sand dunes on your return! This was quite tough with a couple of surf boards and toddler! There is a surfboard hire man on the beach with wet suits at £11 for 3 days and I think the surfboards were around £25. The lifeguards are extremely good, giving constant information on where to surf, swim, etc.
While it specifies on the website that there is enough room on the drive for 3 cars, we easily parked 4 large cars and it was a bonus that we were able to check in well before 4 o'clock.
The house itself is well laid out and extremely well equipped. I would say due to the hard floors, however, it can be a little noisy if people don't close doors quietly etc. The towels were fluffy and large, the pantry/larder was useful, bedding was comfy, showers were extremely efficient, there were games and jigsaws for wet days. There is a charcoal BBQ and table and chairs to use outside on sunnier days!
There is a good drying room which seemed more efficient than the tumbledryer. Mobile phone signal wasn't brilliant and the internet was weak at times, which is possibly a good thing for relaxation!
The track from the road down to the house is a bit rickety but level.
All in all, a lovely well thought out cared for holiday home.

This was our second stay at Kareena and it was even better than the first! We had gorgeous sunsets every night and this time it didn't rain so we were on the beach all week. Found the lovely cafe on East Pentire (a walk over the footbridge at low tide or a short taxi boat ride). The crab is amazing!
Also stopped at the Trevilley farm shop for our weekly food shop, which we'd recommend.
The Albion is still v good for pub food and ales, but we also tried the C-Bay cafe for lunch which we'd recommend as well.

Crantock is one of the best and yet most unspoiled beaches in this part of the world.
The property Kareena is perfectly located just behind the sand dunes with unspoiled views and easy access to this vast and dramatic beach.
The house itself is a simple, modern building thats finished to a high standard throughout; underfloor heating, immaculate bathrooms and panoramic windows that draw the views in and help make this memorable place to stay whatever the weather.

We spent a week at Kareena in June 2015, and we have to say that everything was really wonderful. The house is very well appointed, with all the newest amenities, a great kitchen, lots of space for sleeping, and the location is absolutely perfect! In fact, I'd say it's located in one of the nicest spots on the whole Cornish coast. The house overlooks the beautiful Crantock bay, and is about a 5 minute stroll to the beach, and 5 minutes in the other direction into the center of Crantock, which is a lovely charming village. In addition, it's close enough to Newquay for your shopping needs, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Great place for a relaxing week at the beach! Highly recommended.

Unbeatable location! We stayed here for a week in May with 2 small children and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Turn right out of the door and its is a few minutes walk to the beach, turn left and its a few minutes walk to the village.
The house looked and felt brand new, underfloor heating made it lovely and warm and the views are simply stunning. It has everything you could possibly need from a holiday home including an outdoor shower! There's a large garden for the kids to run around in and a large utility room (great washer & dryer). The kitchen utensils are quality (sabatier knives etc) and the walk in larder very useful. The house is light and spacious and low maintenance to stay in.
The beach is perfect for kids with caves, rock pools, life guards, ice cream van! We had a great meal in the Albion pub in the village - they are very family friendly (toy box and kids menu). There is also loads to do locally if it isn't beach weather. A week wasn't long enough. We will definitely be coming to stay here again!
