Area Crantock is a small Cornish village, set back from the coast, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

The house is a real home from home, has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and homely and best of all are the amazing views from the front of the property overlooking Crantock Bay.. Just a very relaxing place to stay and we never want to leave. The cornish cream teas are a nice welcome too. We have already booked for next year. Just a lovely place to stay with everything you can possibly need. Lovely gardens out the back too.

We really enjoyed this week, party because the weather was so good and partly as the house was so good.. This is praise as we have been coming to Crantock for about 7 or so years now. Differences in this house included: sensible and useable back garden - for children to run around in; not a steep slope down to the beach and not a postage stamp. Good wetsuit drying place. The front room view was one of the best - because you can see the beach and waves. The house was well equipped and clean and tidy. The water seemed hot all of the time and it was summer so we didn\'t have to grapple with heating controls (Only mention this because someone did so in the comments book). Ease of getting to beach was fine and better than we feared. Ease of walking to Polly Joke and Holywell excellent.
We have rebooked!

This was our third visit to the house and the views from the lounge just get better each year.. We take my father with us who is 86 and he just loves sitting looking out to sea. Just a short walk from the house to the beach where
you can walk with your dogs, surf or bodyboard. Our daughter rides at the local Trenace Riding Stables where they have rides on Cubert Common
and along the Gannel Estuary. The local pub The Bowgie Inn is a two minute walk away. Perfect holiday!!

Our first time staying in Crantock and we weren't disappointed! Fantastic and comfortable house with splendid views.
Well furnished and equipped for a family stay, the owners have put a lot of thought into the little extras and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
Conveniently located within a short walk of Polly Joke and Crantock beaches and also close to a few nice country pubs.
All in all a lovely holiday and a great place to celebrate the new year :)

We stayed at this beautiful house last week from 1st-8th Nov 2014. We are not new to Crantock, we have been visiting the village for over 30yrs, camping in our teenage years to caravanning with children and now the wrong side of 40 decided we need a little more comfort in life when away from home. We have stayed in a few houses and cottages in Crantock, all have their little quirks and delights, but this one for me was probably the best. The views from most aspects inside the house were glorious, the house very well equipped, comfortable and warm. Great location over looking Crantocks award winning beach and only a 15 minute walk from Polly Joke. Joe the manager/owner was great, very friendly and helpful an onsite in case there are any problems,(not that we had any).
We went with my elderly parents and they had a lovely time, the only thing I would say to Joe and would help older visitors is to get a hand rail fitted going up the stairs as both my parents struggled without this.
Cannot recommend this house highly enough and thanks for a great stay...will be visiting again..

We stayed at Bay View during October half term with our daughter, husband and three children. What an amazing house the view was out of this world straight across the bay to Goose Rock and Crantock Beach. The house was furnished and fitted to a very high standard. Joe and Amy the owners live next door and went out of their way to ensure everything was ok for us. They even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome along with the tea, coffee, and biscuits. the property was extremley clean and there was everything there that was needed.

This was our second trip to Bay View House and we will be back again!
Joe and Amy were the perfect hosts to such a stunning house in an ideal sea view location. The house is set overlooking Crantock Beach on West Pentire and is ideal for families. The house itself is well laid out and feels like hom from home.
