Area Crantock is a small Cornish village, set back from the coast, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Bay View House was close to perfect in every way.. The rooms were clean, well decorated and spacious. It had every facility including a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits. The owner lived next door and was very friendly. He made it clear he was available if needed but then kept out of our way whilst we were there - perfect combination! The views from the two main bedrooms and the lounge are breathtaking. A note about a recent review we saw which said that the heating was off during the main part of the day unless you made an additional payment. This was NOT the case when we stayed in February 2019, and the house was pleasantly warm throughout at all times, even without using the log burner provided in the lounge. Will be staying there in the future.

Brilliant holiday! Booked through another company which then became part of Sykes, a few weeks before the holiday itself. I needed to contact Sykes to confirm everything was as originally booked (e.g. dog was still included, as not clear). This was an extra job I had not anticipated. It would have been ideal if Sykes had contacted me directly/personally about the booking and change of company.

We have stayed at Bay View several times and it always lives up to our expectations but this time it excelled.. With the really bad weather that hit us Thursday/Friday we were concerned about travelling back but the owner
Joe put our fears to rest and offered us the option to stay extra as it wasn't booked after us. He told us better to be safe than sorry. It was a really kind gesture and we can't thank him enough for putting our minds at rest. Will defiinitely be going back xx

We have stayed twice before and already booked for next year.. lovely friendly couple live next door in annex, happy to answer questions and give advice.
A beautiful house in a fantastic location and they have made it feel like a home from home. very clean and welcoming. pint of milk, tea, coffee, packet of biscuits and bottle of wine very
appreciated after long journey, also by providing basics like soap, bin bags saves having to remember to bring or having to buy on arrival.
Great secure walled garden at back of property for children and dog. can be a real sun trap and great to sit in even on a windy day.
A larger lawn and another patio at front but not enclosed.
Wonderful views. quiet road, all usually hear are birds. Polly Joke and Crantock beach close by as are some lovely pubs.
Crantock village is small but great with shop, cafes, pubs. great walks nearby.
