If you're looking for a break from cooking, the village has a number of local shops and charming pubs, such as The Elephant and The Vine Inn. The village is conveniently located near Nantwich, which is home to the Nantwich Museum, which is housed in a converted library, and Dorfold Hall, a magnificent stately home with beautiful grounds and guided tours of the home itself. The Peak District National Park is a bit further away, but there are many National Trust Sites to visit en route; visit Little Moreton Hall or Biddulph Grange Garden before venturing out on one of the many hiking trails that wind through the park.
