Sunny Slope & Sauna

The house was clean and tidy. The inventory was very complete. It's an excellent base for sightseeing and hiking, including a trail from Desna to a stream with rapids in the forest. We found the house cold and damp, especially in the evenings, but there were plenty of blankets and fleece blankets. The road to the house is steep and full of potholes, but it's manageable. You can also drive in from the other side. You can hear the road below, though.

We spent two wonderful weeks there. There are many excursions to do in the surrounding area, including exploring waterfalls, visiting smaller and larger towns, and enjoying inexpensive family meals.

We found a beautiful, very well-equipped and clean holiday home, which was completely at our disposal. The sauna was great and comfortable. The space in the living room and kitchen was very generous, and even if we spent a day at home we could each retreat to our own. It is important to note that the price of electricity for the sauna should not be forgotten when calculating the price.

During our stay there were technical problems that were solved pragmatically, friendly and quickly. Only the WiFi internet failure for 9 out of 14 days was not resolved. The house can only be heated with night storage heaters/electric oil radiators. The oven in the kitchen cannot be regulated and heating with electricity is expensive. The access is problematic: steep, narrow, poorly paved and with insufficient turning options. Do not drive in if you are coming from Desna!

We stayed in the house for a week in the fall. The house was super clean, even under the beds (we had to move them because of a small child). Superbly equipped kitchen with cutting boards, sharp knives and good pots/pans. Very nice sauna. The access is very, very, very steep and not asphalted. For hiking with small children, it is a bit difficult directly from the house as the whole slope is very steep - but still very nice. The stoves cannot be used for fire safety reasons, only night storage heaters.
