Queen Ann's Close is a stunning detached cottage located 1.5 miles from Chapel-en-le-Frith in the Peak District. It offers six bedrooms including; a family room sleeping five with an en-suite, a king-size with en-suite, a further king-size, a four poster double, a twin with an en-suite and a further twin, the property also offers a family bathroom and a cloakroom, it can sleep seventeen people. The interior also boasts a kitchen, a utility, a dining room with a woodburning stove and a sitting room with a gas fire. To the outside you will find off road parking and rear enclosed lawns. Queen Ann's Close is a fabulous cottage in a beautiful rural location.

Area
The 'Capital of the Peaks', with its cobbled streets and stocks. Four miles away is Buxton, famous for its spring water, Pavillion Gardens and Victorian Opera House. A short drive away are the Blue John Cavern and the castle at Castleton and stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Lyme Hall.

We booked this property with a group of 14 and basically, we could not fault it. Located off the beaten track, this spotless property has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. We benefitted from a kitchen which was perfectly equipped for our needs - modern ovens, two dishwashers to keep housekeeping to a minimum, large communal dining areas, lounge, and expansive gardens for outdoor BBQs and yoga. Wifi boosters had been fitted to every room in the house! Ideal for local hillwalking and as a cycling base, with the Old Hall Inn in Chinley nearby serving excellent beers and food. Thoroughly recommended - will no doubt visit again.

We were six adults and five kids who booked this house; wanting a place in Derbyshire out of the hustle and bustle of city life; WOW is all I can say! The house is simply stunning and huge; our kids got lost and stayed most of their time on the top floor in their 'little world' and gave us adults a break—lots of beds upstairs for the kids to play around in—plenty of room at the dining table and also the Kitchen area. Lovely bedrooms and four bathrooms upstairs and a decent downstairs toilet in the hallway, all bathrooms are modern, and the oversized bathroom is impressive. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived and thankfully had a manual from the owner explaining things like wifi code and general stuff about the house. The large modern kitchen is open, with several fridges, freezers, and two dishwashers. The log burner is excellent; although it was hot, we lit it up in the beautiful evening. Central heating throughout the house and internet connectivity everywhere in the evening. Having researched the area, we noticed that the house is in the centre of Derbyshire's attractions like Peak cavern, Poole's cavern, and Chatsworth House is just down the road. We are avid walkers and went on many walks in and around the area; the large garden is a decent walk. We will look forward to returning next Summer 2023.

This place may have been lovely at some point Now the furniture is ripped and dirty The crockery chipped The walls filthy with hand prints Gas fire doesn't work One of the dishwashers doesn't work The fire starter pack not included The details to access the accommodation wasn't sent and we had to chase repeatedly The accommodation was Mis sold as having a hot tub - when they finally agreed to honour it they didn't even service the hot tub nor make sure it was working at temperature they just took the money and lied about it being provided for - I was even told that afterwards if there was an issue they'd sort it out but when contacting Sykes to inform them of the poor service they simply didn't care - they've had the money now! The service from the owner was horrendous and Sykes wasn't much better For the amount of money they charge you'd think they would care but clearly not - definitely would not book here again and definitely wouldn't use Sykes again.

My wife and I found this for her mums 70th Birthday weekend. Specifically identifying properties with a hot tub. Unfortunately no warning until arrival and just a piece of paper in welcome pack to say ‘Hot Tub Out of Order’ . Really dampened the start to the weekend. Sykes and owner were contacted for various issues without further resolution. Fly infestation on top floor and razor sharp broken floor tiles in kitchen covered by door mat to name a few. The house could be awesome but may aswell just list without a hot tub and fix a few broken fixtures.

We stayed at Queen Ann’s only for a weekend, however you definitely need to stay longer. Our party consisted of 10 adults and 6 children and the house was perfect for all. I have to be honest on arrival at the house I was a little disappointed from the outside HOWEVER don’t less this fool you. On entering the property the kitchen / diner was stunning and large, a great place to hang out over looking the large garden plus we could keep an eye on the children enjoying the hot tub. The living / dining room is very spacious plus as it is open plan everyone could get involved or find a quite place to relax and enjoy the outside views. The hall way is stunning, beautifully decorated and offers the wow factor on arrival. Again all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and spacious. All bathrooms are of a high standard. The top floor offered 6 beds with a chill out area plus a large bathroom so this was ideal for the children to hangout, this was ideal for our party. I/we will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this house to family and friends. I just want to say thank you to the owner for making our weekend a memorable one. 5*

We had a family weekend with 12 adults and one baby. The house was perfect, clean warm and very well equipped. Very large kitchen which worked well for us and huge dining table so we could all sit together to eat. Even though it was snowing the house was warm and so was the jacuzzi which we did use on both evenings. Quiet location which suited us. We did go for a walk along the road to look at the local wildlife and we talked to a very nice neighbour. Overall a great location not too far to get back onto motorways so ideal Friday night straight from work but felt like you were away in lovely countryside.

When we arrived there were dirty cups left around living and kitchen area.. Also the hot tub stopped working after the first day! Contacted the owner who gave us instructions which did not rectify the problem. We wer told that they could not get anyone to come and help us. We booked the cottage because of the hot tub. We were all really dissapointed.

Absolutely fantastic property with plenty of space for a family of 14.. The gardens were superb as was the hot tub. The downstairs area was spacious and everyone was able to find an area to relax in. All the rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. Bed linen was of great quality too. The kitchen (s) contained all you would need to host a large group and more. Overall the house has a very regal air to it. Would most certainly recommend it and would love to visit again.

This is an exceptional property in an ideal location.. The younger ones loved the attic bedroom space but the huge ground floor was big enough for everyone to eat together and chill out and relax. Everything was spotlessly clean and of a high quality. We all had a wonderful time.

Great sized house for the 13 of us.. Great kitchen and dining areas. We had a couple of problems with the fire alarm beeping continuously through the night and actually sounding a false alert on the last day. A couple of radiators were not working which left 2 bedrooms cold. Toaster needs replacing as half of the 6 slots don't work correctly. Jacuzzi was nice but needs auto fill after 5 people use it. The amount of water displaced means the water level drops too low and heater stops. We had to look for a hosepipe and tap to top it up.

This house is stunning. On arrival we were all wowed by it's character. Whoever did the interior design has done a fab job. There were 14 of us and plenty of space for everyone. Spotlessly clean and comfy beds. The only negative we found was the oven took forever to cook anything, and given that the Aga wasn't on, one small oven is not really enough space when cooking for such large numbers. Other than that everything was pretty perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Queen Ann’s Close.. The house fully catered for our needs as such a large group of ten adults and four young children. We couldn’t complain with any of the facilities, the bathrooms were sufficient and the kitchen was fantastic. We would definitely return.

Queen Ann's close is absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfortable.. The views from eery room are simply breathtaking.The only thing that needs attention are the bathroom plugs as they all were not draining the water properly. I will be booking again next November. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

The property requires: A tumble drier for the number of guests and towels used with the hot tub.. A hairdryer. I have never rented a property without one. Laundry basket A clothes airer Potato masher Kitchen scissors A smaller saucepan would be useful when feeding children small meals plus a few plasic plates/cups/glasses that can be safely taken into the garden. No visitors book or guides to local places of interest Drinking tumblers in bathrooms or smaller glasses suitable for use by children. We all loved the hot tub but 5 of our party developed skin rashes/ and bites. We cannot say the rash was caused by the hot tub but it was a bit of a coincidence. Despite the above it's a lovely property and we all enjoyed our holiday. With a few additions this could an excellent holiday venue.

We loved the property but we're disappointed that it didn't have anywhere for outdoor eating or a parasol for shade.. We also needed a CD player and there was nothing available - not even a DVD player. As the property is five stars we expected it to have these things.

Our family gathering of 13, including kids, visited in June 2018 and were fortunate enough to have lovely weather which meant that the beautiful grounds could be enjoyed.. We stayed for 2 nights at the weekend and found the property to be absolutely perfect. There was lots of space which meant we weren’t tripping over each other and the facilities were amazing. Although we ordered in all our food the kitchen was really accommodating and having 2 dishwashers was a god send. Would definitely stay here again. There was adequate off road parking and the property has lots of lovely walks nearby. I would highly recommend the property to anyone as the house and garden are to a really high standard and we were able to make amazing memories.

Great accomadation house and garden and hot-tub.. One thing lacking was local maps and lists of what to do. A few games as well. Contact with owner very efficient and everything worked well. Thenoisein the house carried, so we made door closers to stop the self closing door hinges slamming and echoing around the house. .the whole family loved it especially the loft room.

We were a big family group of 15, adults and children.. The accommodation was fantastic! The hot tub was well used , as was the large rear garden for cricket and rounders! We booked a chef for one night and the arrangement of rooms downstairs worked perfectly. Everyone slept well and there were enough bathrooms. Our family slept on the third floor and it was a perfect space for the children. Please can you ask the owner to put champagne style glasses in the kitchen and more mirrors in the bedrooms, some had no mirrors, especially the third floor. A superb location as well!

The house was absolutely stunning - the images don’t really do it justice.. . It felt like a true home after only a few days and no one wanted to leave! The owner has done an amazing job of fitting the house out with unique, stylish, high quality furniture and appliances. The location is superb - close enough to local amenities yet with a remote feel to it - you really feel like you’re outside.
