Pitt Cottage is a thatched stone cottage situated just outside the village of Ringstead near to the town of Weymouth in Dorset and benefits from panoramic sea views. The cottage can sleep 6 people in 2 twin and 1 super-king with en-suite bath bedroom as well has a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen/diner and a sitting room with open fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 4 cars and a lawned garden. Pitt Cottage is wonderful retreat to a quiet location for families close to sea. Note: Two well-behaved dogs welcome at an additional charge of £21/pet.

Three bedrooms: 2 x Twin rooms, 1 x Superking room with en-suite bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with open fire and TV.

Area
Ringstead Bay is an unspoilt pebble beach on the Jurassic coastline surrounded by farmland and striking cliffs. The original village mentioned in the doomsday book no longer exists, but there is now a small vibrant community nestled at the back of the bay in a variety of unique houses. Enjoy walking the South West Coast path or meander through the woodland walks, whatever your Choice this is a gorgeous place to be outside. When you are ready to explore further afield, you will find Lulworth Cove and Durdle door a short 11 miles away and Weymouth with it’s beautiful beach and plentiful restaurants and cafes 7 miles to the west. The Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World Rescue, and Tyneham Village all offer varied and interesting days out just a short drive from Ringstead, presuming you can tear yourselves away from the unspoilt beach.

Biggest double bed I've ever slept in and the walk-in high tech shower is a joy. My son and his girlfriend stayed for 3 days and loved it so much they were sad to go home. My daughter and granddaughter stayed for 2 days later in the week and we walked from Ringstead Bay to the Smugglers Inn pub and restaurant. great food and atmosphere. We had the hottest week of the year but the sea breeze kept us cool at night. Another enjoyable week. Love the new teak table and chairs on the patio and saw new single matresses going in back in May. Nice to see the place being kept up to date and funds re-invested in the property. Had my usual chat with the gardener, lovely guy. We can't stay next year but we will be back again soon as this feels like home to us now.

Fanaistic week in Pitt Cottage, classic, tasteful furnishings and renovated to a high standard. Never felt so relaxed. Only 5 mins from Ringstead Bay and 15 - 20 mins from Weymouth sea front. Tucked out of the way on a working dairy farm, all three bedrooms have views of the sea. Spacious garden. I have never felt more relaxed or so sad to leave but we have already booked for September 2023. Money well spent.

Overall Pitt Cottage was great.. Lovely location, homely cottage, great size, very comfortable. The only reason for the low mark on the facilities was due to the shower. The electric shower, which was the only one at the property, unfortunately was poor as the temperature was hard to regulate. It was either a very hot or cold shower, or you adjust the power setting so the temperature was OK but the pressure was then awful. If the shower could be sorted, it would have received top marks and we'd book the property again. Kind regards, Mr Steed
