Walking this section of the South West Coast Path, much of it owned by the National Trust, offers dramatic views, a host of wildflowers and an undulating terrain. Just along the coast is the quaint village of Boscastle, with gift shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, making this an ever-popular visitor destination. The sandy beaches of Bossiney and Trebarwith Strand are within a short drive, as are the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath. Close at hand lies Tintagel, swathed in the legend of King Arthur, as well as several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.

The house was very comfortable and homely.. The welcome basket was amazing! We were surprised that there wasn't a larger saucepan for a house that can sleep ten. We had to go and buy one! And we have never stayed in a place before that didn't have a plug for the sink! Apart from that, it is a beautiful house with a lovely garden, in a very pretty part of the country.

The house lacked nothing and we were pleasantly surprised at receiving a hamper and fresh scones on arrival.. It was equally surprising to find the essentials such as milk, tea and coffee provided too. It reduced the stress of arrival and felt extremely welcoming. Thank you.

A fabulous property which was perfect for our family of 10 (6 adults, 2 children, toddler and young baby).. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. We had really good weather so were able to sit out in the garden, and the children loved the play area at the rear of the house, which can be seen from the bottom of the garden. Crackington Haven is a good base from which to explore. Would definitely recommend this holiday home.

The whole family was absolutely blown away by the quality and location of Penhaven.. We usually book with Aspects holidays for at least two cottage holidays to Cornwall every year and will now always consider yourselves, too. Penhaven is a beautiful, well appointed property which made us feel like we were in a home away from home. There was nothing which we needed that Penhaven didn’t have and it provided a wonderful base to explore Cornwall from. The welcome hamper was a gorgeous extra touch that made us even more excited to begin our holiday. The beds in the property were the most comfortable of any property we’ve stayed in and the living spaces were open & brilliant for the whole family to be entertained. Contact with Neil, the owner, was superb as he got in touch to wish us a happy holiday and again at the end of the week to say he’d hoped we’d had a good time. We’ve never had this with any other property we’ve stayed in and it was a lovely touch. We’ve already begun planning our return to Penhaven and have recommended it to two other big families as we were so impressed with the booking. Thank you so much for a brilliant week; we were so sad to leave!

Fabulous house.. Lots of space and great garden for children. Beautiful and extremely generous welcome pack - scones were a wonderful touch and very yummy! House was very well stocked with utensils, plates etc. Overall, best place we have all stayed in terms of quality/standard of a rental home. Thank you
