Owl Cottage is just the most perfect place for a holiday (this was our second stay). The owners have given so much attention to detail that it feels like hotel standard not a holiday let -the settees in particular are just sumptuous! I love all the the little owl details. We were extremely comfy - when we go again it will be lovely to use the real log fire. Morpeth itself it a revelation - a cute little market town with lots of fantastic independent restaurants and shops. It's the perfect base to explore the Northumberland countryside and coast. We visited Alnwick (it's so worth going to Barter Books), Bamburgh Castle and Amble - all are within easy reach on good roads. Can't wait to go back and stay here again to do some more exploring and relaxing.

Decided to stay here as it is near the town centre facilities in Morpeth and the rail station. Great bus service to Newcastle too.Good selection of pubs and restaurants, great italian on the High St. The cottage is very neat and tidy, well equipped and comfortable. Much thought has been given to this by the owners. Would not hesitate to book Owl Cottage again. In short, couldn't fault it. Book it, you won't be disappointed!
