My partner and I stayed for a week and the property was amazing and the host Sarah was also really attentive and helpful just checking in via text to make sure all was ok. The dogs loved the garden and the decked area is amazing with a lovely view. We plan to stay again as soon as we can, there is so much to do just a short drive away as well as some lovely walks from the doorstep. The house is very well equipped but has a homely feeling.

The house was well prepared for our visit and very well set out for a comfortable stay. North Wales went into Lockdown that week but as Blaenau Ffestiniog is in a low Covid-19 rate area we were little affected. The view is spectacular although this being a Welsh autumn it was too cool and damp to make much use of the garden seating areas. The walking in the Moelwyns is good with a wide choice of routes. Take care to keep away from the slate heaps though.

Lovely cottage, beautifully finished with a superbly equipped kitchen. As we stayed in an exceptionally wet and cold February the log burner was a necessity but keep us very cosy and the games cupboard was helpful too. Great location lots of places to see and activities to do for all ages. Would recommend

Cottage is absolutely lovely, as others have said a real home from home and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen and dining area are especially fab (I had kitchen envy!). Special note: unlike alot of rental properties we've stayed in, the kitchen was really well stocked with lots of mugs, glasses, wine glasses etc - quite literally everything you could think of and plenty of them too (so you don't have to wash up every 5 minutes). Beds were extremely comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Lots of information in the cottage on great local walks and things to do prepared by the owner - we did quite a few and highly recomend the Tan-y-Grisiau reservoir (finished off with a fab all day breakfast at the car park cafe!). Allow a good couple of hours for this walk. Brilliant base for getting to Snowdonia and Betws y Coed (waterfalls) and obviously for all the Zip World locations which were a big hit with the teenagers. Really feel like we got away from it all and fell in love with area and The Old Post Office. Would happily, and will hopefully, go back for another stay.

This rental is a lovely place. Clean, well furnished and a good location to visit Snowdon and area. The local pub is friendly and only 5 minute walk. The Indian restaurant in the town is very good. The accommodation has a folder with plenty tips on where to visit. Great views from garden.

This is a great base to visit Snowdonia National Park. There are great walks around the area and the locals are very friendly. We were amazed by the owners attention to detail, the kitchen is very large and well equipped with good quality crockery, glassware and cutlery. There is even a wine fridge. The Prosecco, welsh cakes and even a dog treat was a nice touch as a welcome. All the rooms are very well decorated and presented, the towels were of good quality. There are great views of the mountains from the back terraces. We would definitely stay here again.

The Old Post Office is in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, and is an exceptionally comfortable and well equipped house. The location among the mountains is stunning, especially from the garden. The owners have gone to great care to ensure that every possible item required for a relaxing stay has been provided.

We had a lovely stay in the Old Post Office. It is a very well stocked and comfortable house that is beautifully presented. It is positioned in an area that is a great starting point for visiting other areas in North Wales and in particular the Zip world locations. The terraced garden out the back has stunning views on a clear day and is a perfect place to enjoy the Prosecco kindly left by Sarah.

We and our friends loved our stay in the stylishly decorated Old Post Office with the very well-equipped kitchen, the three comfy bedrooms, one with en suite, and a big family bathroom. Best of all we had glorious sunshine the whole week and with the incredible view from the upper deck we enjoyed the Prosecco, Sarahs welcome gift on the kitchen table. Over the week we reached the top of Mount Snowdon by the mountain railway, we luckily booked in advance. Made some trips to Aberystwyth, Conwy, Betws-y-coed with the waterfalls and the magic Fairy Glen. There´s a lot to do in the surrounding area and the Old Post Office is the perfect starting point. Internet access is very good and in the evening, there is the Manod Hotel with Pub, friendly people and Welsh beer.

We arrived to a lovely well presented clean and spacious property. The kitchen was fantastic and extremely well equipped with everything we could have needed. The weather was great all week, which was brilliant. The local town was easy to walk to and from which we did many times, and the train station has a lovely narrow gauge steam train to Porthmadog which we did. The dogs loved it...!! The town has a CO-OP, and Shop, Chinese, Indian, chip shop and kebab and pizza shop so all needs could be met. We ordered our shopping from Asda which we had delivered and arrived on time. There are only 2 pubs, we had a drink in the Manod Hotel which was lovely and freindly staff and locals. It’s the perfect base to explore and we had a few days out over the week. All in all we were all very impressed and really enjoyed our stay and will be back again in the future.

We have recently returned from a stay at the Old Post Office. Such a beautiful house, with very comfortable surroundings. The house is very tastefully decorated and the owners obviously have a good eye for detail. The bottle of Cava , scones & chocolates on the pillow were very kind touches. The garden again was perfect, sadly we never got to enjoy it due to the rain. Would highly recommend this accommodation was 1st class in every way

Perfect from start to finish the Old Post Office is immaculate with everything you need and then some. Wish we would have had nicer weather so we could have tried the outside space but I suppose you cant have everything. Scenery is spectacular and pubs and shops 2 minutes and 5 minutes walk. Lovely week. Lynn and Ben the owners ave thought of everything and the wine and welsh cakes were a lovely touch. Thank you so much.

Although the weather was not great - an awful journey through the rain, wind and floods we had a fantastic time. Would.d recommend the National Trust sites in the area and the dogs loved the beaches which are accessible to them at this time of year. The most important thing was the Old Post Office which offered so much.

I can only echo all other comments regarding this property.. A lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. A fantastic kitchen and very comfortable beds. We were very lucky regarding the weather, sunny every day. Had a great time, as did our two dogs, who loved the beaches. The owners have thought of everything, so many extra little touches.

We were amazed when we arrived at this beautiful cottage. Christmas decorations were up and there was a Stollen to eat with our cup of tea - just what we needed. The cottage was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of games and books to keep us occupied if it rained - but it didn’t and we had a wonderful break. Enjoy!

On arrival we found the house to be welcoming, fresh and pristine and the complimentary prosecco and bara brith a really lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house,it was just perfect for us all. It was a real home from home, with lovely thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen was really well equipped, the bathrooms were pristine and the lovely thick towels and quality beds and bedding were just the icing on the cake. It is also in a great location with many attractions only within a few miles. Weather permitting there is also a lovely walk up past the old mill and great views from the top. We will definitely be back

I can only agree with what other visitors have said. A great property, extremely clean, spacious and well equipped. Beautiful terraced gardens at the rear of the property. Within good travelling distance to Snowdonia, Betwys-y-Coed, Portmadog and only an hours drive to Anglesey.

Our stay at the old post office was exceptional. Spotlessly clean, fantastic facilities and a fantastic spot to visit the close towns of Harlech, Porthmadog and Barmouth. Outstanding scenery in the heart of snowdonia, the zip wire and underground trampolines that were 2 minutes down the road was an amazing bonus that kept our teenage kids occupied. Not to mention the extremely friendly and dog friendly pub a 30 second walk from the house to keep us occupied!! I cannot fault the facilities of the old post office and would certainly return there again. Thank you for having us.
