Spent a week recently at this lovely church conversion and think a more recent review is required. It is spacious and will easily accommodate four adults plus a dog or two. Located close to the beach and the coastal path for keen cyclists or walkers. Those wanting to explore there is Swansea & the Mumbles to the east. The beautiful beaches of Rhossili, Oxwich & Three Cliff on the Gower plus dramatic walks with amazing scenery. If you like your castles Kidwelly and Lougharne and town are a short distance to the west. Shopping for souvenirs can be completed in Tenby and great food ar Hawbr Bar. & Kitchen in Saundersfoot. And Llanelli a town which has an incredible number of chapels.

After seeing the high praise & ratings this property received on Trip Advisor, I booked for a long week end for my partners' birthday. No.1 did not let us down, it lived up to it's reviews AND more!! Set on a main road ( but you wouldn't know), this church conversion has been thoughtfully done in keeping with it's past and present. Very spacious, and finished to a high standard with obvious love and a touch of homely wuirkiness ( see floor in Master en suite bathroom!!) Master bed is Very large and comfortable, and a great nights sleep was had!! Julian & Sarah are great hosts, and the welcome pack of wine, chocolates AND fresh milk was a VERY nice touch... Great place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. Also, great chippy just opposite if, like us you arrivelate and don't want to cook!! Very pleased to say dogs are welcome at no extra cost ( rare these days..), and although No.1 doesnt have any garden, there is a little grassed area behind the church for late evening exercise etc, if you don't want to go to the beach.. Thank you J & S

Not much to do in Llanelli itself, but the flat provides an excellent home base for exploring SW Wales.. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious. Two bathrooms! Excellent value.

The cottage was absolutely amazing,it's been renovated to high standard but still .. Keeping some of the original features, it was very clean, really cosy,a home from home, near to the beach and a 15/20 walk into town,we was made to feel very welcome and the added touches like an iron board iron hairdryer towels ect. Shows how much thought they've put in to make everybody's stay relaxed and enjoyable..... highly recommend

Lovely cottage, close enough to the coast to walk the dogs and kids and a short walk to town for all your other needs.. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. If your bring a dog just to remember there is no garden but as I've said close to the beach and sea wall (5min walk). You go past a pub to get there.Nice cafe at the beach front , millennium coastal walk great for walks and cyclist's.

We stayed in this lovely converted chapel building at Easter 2018. The accommodation was lovely and spacious with everything you need for a relaxing break. We didn't want to rush on our last day - Easter Sunday and it was great that the owners were so accommodating. We had a great break with time to explore the coast & just enjoy being back in Llanelli. The standard of accommodation is excellent - a real treat!

Blinds on the velux windows in the bedrooms would be appreciated for a better nights sleep.. Ideally situated for local visitor attractions.

The property was previously a church, it had retained some of the original features and had a lovely atmosphere.. The facilities were comfortable and clean. The cottage welcomed dogs and were furnished with that in mind eg:- dog cage, easy clean floors. The master bed was comfy and the bedding smelt lovely, lovely en suite with a very interesting floor ? five minutes from the beach and lovely sea front. The owners had left a welcome pack which we enjoyed. The kitchen was very well equipped, including al the cleaning products needed, tea towels etc. The owner was easy to contact and very communicative. Will be back, a lovely snuggly place to stay whilst we visit our son and family.

The cottage was excellent in both comfort and upkeep, the welcome pack was also excellent, recommend this place to everyone, location is close to beach and the general store has everything one requires.. Pubs..one fair with good breakfasts and choice of beers and wines, the other not to be recommended as it was filthy and unkempt.

Hi All, My partner and I (and Dog, Nellie) had a 4 night stay here from 14th to 18th March 2018.. One of the main factors for us was the fact it used to be a Church! Was hoping it might be a bit spooky but actually, quite the opposite! Very warm and welcoming cottage with lots of equipment to maintain a self sufficient stay. The decor is brilliant and detail is second to none. The cottage is very clean but still has that old property feel that is great. Spacious and cozy at the same time. The feature staircase is superb as is the main bedroom bathroom flooring. You will see if you book. The ONLY two things we can comment on are: 1. The bedroom skylights do not have any type of blind - If you are a light sleeper, bring some eye masks. 2. The shower pressure is not great. The bin collection is times can be found here - http://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/media/1213110/waste-collection-calendar2017-ws.pdf As far as I can see, just put the bags outside before 6am on the particular days. The Bucket & Spade Pub down the road (Out door, turn left, at the end on the right) does a GREAT breakfast from 10:00hrs for £4.95 and is huge! Definitely worth a visit. We would stay here again. For us, the main winner here is the actual property. Its a CHURCH! How often can you stayed in a Church. I did do some research into the Church and couldn't find much but if anyone can find it, please print it off and leave it in the guest book :) Yours, Naomi, Daran and Nellie.

A lovely, comfortable conversion of the little church.. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of equipment. Milk, wine and chocolate in the fridge very thought full. Only downside, no outside space. However with miles of coastal path a five minute stroll away fresh air is easy to come by. There's also a friendly pub just up the road with outside seating for summer evenings.

Great family break, we have 3 children and a dog, plenty of space, 2 min walk to the beach, 10 mins from a great golf club, 20 mins from pembrey country park and close to the gower or Pembroke for trips further away, but a great base. We were even given tickets by the owner for the Scarlets rugby complimentary, lovely treat. Loads of character, easily booked, great value, quite cheap for the family. Highly recommend.

1 Church Cottages provided an idyllic 2 week stay. Very spacious, well equipped and full of character and charm. Julian and Sarah were gracious hosts and even provided beer, wine, milk and treats for our arrival (which was greatly appreciated after a long drive!). A great location with a quick walk into town for shops, pubs and take-aways. Also a fantastic location to explore South Wales as well as the beautiful towns of Tenby and St Davids, provided you have a car. Highly recommend this property! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

A lovely property with everything you could possibly need, its in an ideal location to get anywhere.. The beach and coastal path 5 minute walk with some great views, theres a shop and pub a few doors down and a chip shop opposite. The Church has been refurbished to a very high standard and really does deserve to be treated like its your own, its a large property with large lounge and a lovely Kitchen with downstairs toilet. The bathroom is stunning and I love the lighting, the property has 2 large bedrooms and the main bedroom has an ensuite. We were visiting my daughter (and first grandson) who lives in Swansea, its been the coldest week I can ever remember lol but we really enjoyed our stay at The Church. We were made very welcome by the owners and we also found the locals very welcoming. We used local pub and shops and will certainly go again. Highly recommend.

The Church Cottage in Llanelli was amazing.. A beautifully converted church completed to an extremely high standard. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and have made the cottage very cosy and homely place. Only 5 minutes from the beach, the local pub and shop were even closer. In our party there were 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog, we had plenty of space and all loved it. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back!

We’ve just left the church cottage and are sad to leave. There were 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog and we had a wonderful relaxing stay at the cottage. The beach is 5 mins away and is perfect for long walks and shell collecting! The property has been beautifully converted to a very high standard. All the rooms are stunning in particular the generously sized family kitchen and bathroom which is home to a massive tub! The owners are lovely, with a warm welcome and tour, then we found treats in the fridge as a welcome. Absolutely perfect break and we would definitely recommend, we will be staying again!

I was looking for a property specifically in Llanelli to visit family and found the Sykes website easy to use to find exactly what I was looking for.. The property was excellent value for money, extremely well decorated and gave us everything we needed. The owners have done a super job with this conversion and couldn't have been more helpful both in the lead up to our stay and whilst we were there. Everything has been thought of within the house, and the owner has taken great care to retain much of the character of the original chapel. We had a lovely weekend here and would love to go back. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
