Loved the location of this duplex apartment, in the centre of Windermere so a very short walk to all the local amenities. Parking for one car is at the back of the property, away from the road, down a buttock-clenching private road when you have an SUV! The property was very clean and cosy but we were a little disappointed by the layout of the lounge (at a right angle to the television is not very good for your posture and chronic neck problems; we had to move the furniture to face the television) and the sofas were so uncomfortable we had to use the cushions to make it more bearable to sit in. I hope the owners have them replaced in the near future if they haven't already. Excellent amount of storage for clothes and toiletries with built in wardrobes in the master bedroom. If you like a soft mattress, then you will love the bed in the master bedroom. Had a lovely week long stay here.

2nd stay at this well furnished and highly appointed townhouse in the centre of Windermere. Essential car parking space made it very easy as a great base for all the activities found nearby. Warm & cosy, I would defiantly recommend this property & hope to return again soon. Thanks Jo ! Our days out included Crinkle crag, Easdale Tarn, Wasdale, Bassenwaite, Grasmere & nearby Ambleside.

Mrs tiggywinkles was a great house for exploring the lakes Very clean and had everything we needed.. So good to have a parking space right in the centre of Windermere. Just a note the car park is a very sharp left after the shop you will probably miss it first time! The internet connection was a bit temperamental... The owner of the property came to make sure everything was ok on the Saturday night which I thought was very kind of her.... I would highly recommended this property Thank you

Just returned from this amazing holiday let in Windermere...As detailed in the photos, this is an immaculate rental in the heart of Windermere town . It had everything our family needed, and it was refreshing that everything worked ! This rental has been well looked after and maintained to a high standard by the owner. Windermere is a great location for all activities , and we were lucky enough to climb Helvellyn, Catbells , and kayaking on Ullswater. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends, and we hope to return soon. Thanks Jo !

We stayed at Mrs Tiggywinkles over Easter and couldn't fault it. The cottage is set back just off the High Street but is quiet with the added advantage of parking which is a bonus in the lakes. The property is bright, warm, modern and well equipped with everything we needed including wifi, we had plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom and ensuite both had good showers with plenty of hot water, essential after a long walk. We used the local bus 599 to Grassmere and the train to Kendal both regular services and ideal as the station is just a short walk from the cottage. We would definitely book again.

A little hard to find at first, but a really conveniently located apartment. Comfortable living room with two sofas. Well equipped kitchen. One full bath downstairs but then both bedrooms up, one of which has an ensuite bathroom, very tiny but nicely done and looks rather new. Can walk to everywhere in town from here. Floors and stairs very creaky. We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Cracking 2 bedroom apartment in the centre of Windermere. It's just off the main road close enough to all the shops and restaurants, but far enough so u don't hear the traffic. Has its own parking space. The house is fully equipped with everything u need. The property is in college court. Will definitely stay here again

We booked last minute and arrived on the day we booked. The apartment was in a great central but quiet location and was ready for us with a lovely Easter welcome tray. It is nicely decorated with new (hotel-like) bathroom and en-suite. We all felt comfortable and cosy here after a day walking with just enough sunshine but plenty of rain too!

Mrs Tiggywinkles is delightful. The accommodation is spotless, bright, modern, cozy and comfortable, with every amenity accounted for. . We enjoyed a fabulous few days there. It is very, very conveniently situated, close to the village, shops and restaurants, no need for a car. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning very soon.

We've just returned home from a 5 day break in the Lakes and had the pleasure of staying at this spotless, cosy apartment. It's right in the centre of Windermere, so all the cafes, restaurants and shops are right on your doorstop, however inside the property it's very peaceful. It even has its own parking space. I would highly recommend staying here, it's a great base and a pleasure to come back to after a day's walking!

This was my first holiday let booking and it didn't disappoint. I booked 3 nights for my husbands birthday treat with 2 friends. The accommodation was perfect, modern clean house with parking. Very clean and easy to get the key, we didn't see the owner which was fine but we didn't receive the mentioned welcome tray which was a shame. There were down points, the accommodation is apparently 15 minutes(ish) from the lake, I would say it's more 20-30 minutes, Windermere village where the house is is much quieter than Bowness and there aren't many pubs (3 or 4 that we found) 1 was a cocktail bar with lovely food, the queens which was a bit dingy and a couple of hotel bars, in hindsight I would have booked for Bowness and had more variety on my doorstep. Also the few cafes that were close to us didn't do a full English breakfast??? We cooked bacon sandwiches in the house 2 mornings but on the departure day left hungry as we couldn't get a breakfast. The house is a 2 storey flat above a ground floor flat which means you worry about noise travelling below and the house is noisy anyway for a new build, very creaky floor boards, noisy running water and even the sofa creaks lol, also if you smoke outside the front door you worry about noise to the bedroom on the ground floor as well. I don't mean to sound complaining, the accommodation is lovely, but these are all factors that would make me look elsewhere if we were to return to Windermere. I would say book in Bowness to be closer to the lake and have a better form of accommodation.
