A comfy and cosy cottage with everything you'd need for a great break away.. A pleasure to come "home" to after a busy day sightseeing in the Lakes. Set down a long wooded track with the sound of trickling water there is no better place that offers peace and quiet. Plenty of room, furniture and equipment for six people, lovely comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and heating. Cannot recommend this property highly enough, one of the best we have stayed in. Lovely and friendly owners.

This was a get together of the generations - grandparents from Salisbury, Mum and Dad from Brussels and daughter and husband from Dubai.. So we were a mixed bag with different experiences of life and we found the cottage just perfect for us to re-connect and enjoy each others’ company whilst also enjoying the Lakes experience. The cottage contributed to this meeting of hearts and minds with its lay-out, setting and wonderfully English views. And, of course, we had the Lakes to enjoy together and to help to forge a shared experience. Only one complaint - no milk/cream jug!!!

The property proved an excellent location for a Christmas break.. The owners live in an adjacent property and were extremely welcoming and supportive without being in any way intrusive. Set in a quiet valley on the Dalesway, there is a feeling of remoteness and yet J37 of the M6 is only 10 or so mins away, giving easy access to the eastern and southern Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Strongly recommended.

The cottage was very comfortable and clean, the approach to the cottage down narrow country lanes then trough a dense wood/forest only added to the enjoyment of the cottage..

Superb roomy cottage, ideal for families with 3 bedrooms, spacious open plan kitchen / dining room and lounge.. Hosts were very welcoming and the cottage had everything we needed for a short stay. Good location, about 10 mins to Kendal and the motorways. Worth mentioning that the cottage is 2 miles down a single track road. Road is in good condition and there are passing places but something to be aware of.

Property is on split levels not suitable for people with mobility issues.. Owners very helpful.

The accommodation was comfortable but needed some updating.. There were cobwebs in some of the bedrooms and on internal windows. The vehicular access roads to the property are extremely narrow and single track only necessitating reverse manoeuvres over quite long distances if there was an oncoming car. We were also troubled by the amount of flies in the property making it difficult to relax. Despite this, the owners were very pleasant and helpful.

I stayed at Moresdale Barn B&B while walking the Yorkshire Dales Way (the path runs right through the garden). I had lost my adapter for my phone two days before, and had no way to replace it while on the path. The hosts not only lent me one of their adapters but also picked one up for me in Kendall that I could take with me. They also dried all my very wet outer wear. Their consideration still leaves me a bit speechless. The barn is very nice. Rooms are large and nicely furnished, with a large shared bathroom (I think, as I was the only person there that night). The bed was one of the most comfortable I had ever slept in (and that includes beds at expensive boutique hotels). Breakfast was delicious. The hosts will also take one into Kendall for dinner. I can't recommend this place enough.

Arrived late after trying to follow directions which were poor to say the least? Totally wrong postcode! Other thing is that one edroom is portrayed as a double bed...it isn't it's a 3/4 bed! The house has all you need with lovely character. The wood burning fire is lovely. Quiet tranquil location situated in a great location easy reach of Kendal. The owners are so obliging and helpful. It is home from home. We WILL be back next year!

A fantastic piece of heaven in the lakes.. This holiday was exactly want we wanted and needed. This place sits perfectly in the lakes not far from the main towns of Kendal, windermere and ambleside. It has beautiful picture perfect views. The cottage was immaculate with a fully stocked kitchen. The owners Bob and Helen are warm and friendly and live just across the courtyard. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone interested in a relaxing walking holiday in the Lakes.

The cottage was set in beautiful surroundings and was very remote. The views were breathtaking. Inside the cottage was set out just right for six persons. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was lovely to meet the owner, who was very helpful and such a lovely lady.

Very nice cottage with good sized rooms and well equipped kitchen. A little remote, but that's adds to the tranquility. A great place to stay for walkers. The outside lets the place down as it's not very tidy.

This property has excellent views, and ideal for walking holidays, plus not too far from the Lakes.. The people who own and run the holiday cottage are really friendly and helpful. My wife and I really enjoyed our 7 day stay, and would recommend the cottage to anyone.

I can't recommend this cottage enough. If you like remote and comfortable this is for you. Not only is the cottage ideal with very good facilities and furnishings but the owners are warm and freindly without being in any way intrusive. The setting is perfect with views that change with the weather and time of day. We all loved it.
