We had a lovely week at Magpie cottage, they really had thought of everything from a slow cooker to a sandwich toaster the kitchen was very well equipped. The master bedroom is very spacious and the bed so comfortable. We wanted for nothing although we knew the owners where available if we needed any help. Its well placed in the village with everything you would want in a village on your doorstep e.g butcher, bakers, coop, cafes and bars, the Anchor pubs Sunday lunch is fantastic. We parked on a piece of land available to anyone next to the cottage. We would definitely recommend and book again.

What a lovely place to stay! The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable! Perfectly located in the lovely town of Wooler, with everything you need just a few minutes walk away. Wooler is a fantastic base for exploring Northumberland. Would definitely recommend and return to Magpie Cottage. The owners, Marie & Jeff were brilliant at local knowledge and communication was excellent! Myself, hubby and our dogs had a fab week!

My family and I stayed here very recently & thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful cottage. The rooms are very clean, very airy, well furnished, well equipped & very comfortable. It's well located, just off the wooler high street with all it has to offer. We would be more than happy to stay here again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at magpie cottage.. It was spotlessly clean full of charm with all the mod-cons. Everything you could want for was at your doorstep. Wooler itself was a great little town with essential shops, eateries and pubs. Wooler Common is such a beauty spot ideal for walkers cyclists and dog walkers. An ideal base to explore Nortumberland and the border towns from, not to mention Edinburgh which isn't far away. I would highly recommend Magpie cottage to everyone, many thanks Marie and Jeff

Absolutely fantastic cottage. We stayed here for the Easter weekend and could not fault it. Beautiful decorated to a high standard, but keeping it's original features. Beautiful log burner in the living room, bedrooms light, bright and airy. Magpie cottage is situated right in the centre of Wooler and close to all bars, restaurants, cafe,s and shops. Great base for visiting all Northberlands sights.Great dog walks up on the common which is only a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage but lots of other walks of your a hiker. Would thoroughly recommend this quaint cottage and will definitely be going back this year.

What a fantastic cottage this is we brought my parents here to stay at the end of March. It is in a great location very close to all of the amenities Wooler has to offer as well as the surrounding area. The cottage is maintained to a very high standard and the owners have thought of everything. The added bonus is that it is pet friendly. Beautiful, cosy place to stay we will definitely be back.
