Lake Farm Cottage has been converted from an old stable and sits five miles from Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire. It comes with one bedroom, hosting a super king-size bed (zip/link, can be twin on request), and a shower room, the property can sleep two people. Its interior also includes an open-plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with sofa bed. Outside there is plenty of off-road parking along with a patio with furniture and a hot tub. Lake Farm Cottage is a homely, rural retreat for couples wishing to enjoy the wonders of North Yorkshire.

All ground floor. One bedroom: 1 x super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request). Wet room with shower, basin and WC. Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with sofa bed.

Area
Pateley Bridge is a popular village in the Nidderdale AONB. Its award-winning High Street offers shops, places to eat and drink and the oldest sweet shop in England. In the surrounding area, the towns of Harrogate, Ripon and Grassington are all within easy reach and offer much to the visitor.

A lovely, well-maintained cottage in a good rural location with lovely views.. Cottage was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen area would have benefited from a few extras - microwave, oven gloves, oven proof dishes and iron but we managed with what was there and enjoyed our stay.There is good outside space to enjoy in good weather.

Great cottage with really comfortable bed.. Wet room and kitchen were excellent. Jacuzzi was fantastic, really peaceful setting. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Surrounding area has so much to do. Plenty of walks straight out of the cottage, including through woodland down to a lovely lake. Nearby town of Pateley Bridge has lovely shops and pubs. Close by to Ripon and Harrogate and about an hour to York- would recommend the Poppleton Bar park and ride it was so convenient. The Bolton Abbey -Embsay steam train was approx 40 mins away. The walk into Bolton Abbey village was very picturesque and seeing the Abbey near the river was great. A couple of local breweries- Theakstons and The Black Sheep (20-30 mins away in Masham) offer excellent tours, and the sampling afterwards in the black sheeps bar was relaxing and felt homely. Stump Cross Caverns were a great visit. Took about 20 mins to get there and the self guided tour down into the well lit caves took about 45 mins. So many beautiful villages to visit. And plenty of other things to do. A week wasnt long enough!

Lake Farm Cottage is a perfect rural retreat approximately halfway between Pately Bridge and Ripon.. The cottage is beautifully finished and very comfortable. The kitchen is well designed making cooking pleasurable. The patio is a suntrap with the added benefit of the hot tub. The dark Nidderdale skies are a wonderful backdrop for an evening in the hot tub watching the stars come out. Our hosts couldn't have done more to make our stay perfect. We can recommend the home grown Dexter beef. There are many attractions and places to eat out nearby. This is definitely a cottage to return to.

The cottage is a hidden gem you could not ask for anything more, everything in the cottage is immaculate and exceeds your expectations.. Location is ideal for exploring as surrounding area is beautiful. Joe and Charlotte the owners are fantastic, if you are looking to go away bypassing this place would be a mistake.
