La Casetta Sassofortino, Tuscany

Beautiful house, very clean and comfortably furnished. The view of the Tuscan landscape is breathtaking. We were in Italy during a heatwave and it was bearable here. R. and his family were very friendly hosts. It should also be mentioned that three dogs roam freely on the property. So if you are afraid of dogs or have a dog that doesn't get along with other dogs, you shouldn't vacation here. In any case, we were very satisfied!

The holiday home is beautifully situated in a small mountain village in the middle of nature. Spacious lawns, flowers and decorations with great attention to detail surround the house. We felt very comfortable here and made beautiful tours in the surrounding area and further afield from here. Thanks to E. and R., our friendly hosts. They provide a very beautiful, well-equipped holiday home. Access to the property is no problem for experienced drivers.

Very pleasant reception by the owners. He called us to emphasize that we should not drive via a certain road. The navigation wants to lead you over an impassable road. The house is beautifully situated on a hill with a beautiful view over the valley. The house is very attractively decorated and very clean. There is a very nice garden. Unfortunately we couldn't sit there in the afternoon because of the mosquitoes.

We were there as a family for 2 weeks and had a really good rest. Gladly again.

The house is very well equipped and well-kept. With elaborate details. Beautiful garden with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and plains and even the sea in the distance. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood. The host was very helpful, he pointed out nearby places to visit and recommended nearby restaurants. Beware of access that does not follow the street indicated in the house address. The house has two bedrooms, the smaller one has a single bed with a pull-out extra bed. It can be a tight fit for two adults. Overall: I highly recommend it.

The equipment leaves nothing to be desired and the view of the valley is wonderful. We spent a wonderful 10 days here, during which we recovered well. La Casetta is a lovingly furnished gem of a holiday home in a quiet location. The guest can expect a fantastic view of the sea, 30 km away. In the garden you can let your soul dangle undisturbed. For the physical well-being, a small supermarket and a restaurant are within walking distance. The castle ruins of Sassoforte are just around the corner and are worth a visit. We have felt very comfortable here.

Very nice historic house, tastefully decorated, several places at home to relax, also sheltered, beautiful large garden, view. Lots to do within 1 to 1.5 hours drive, such as Val d'Orcia, Grosseto, Pitigliano, Pienza, Elba, Piombino, Populania. Wifi only in the living room for those who find it important. Yes, 4G.

A very Tuscan, atmospheric old house (as the owner said, the house dates from the 18th century). Perfectly clean. A beautiful, well-kept garden overlooking the valley at the foot of the town. The owners' parents live next door - nice, discreet and friendly (just like the owner herself :) A good starting point for the well-known and less known Tuscan towns. We recommend
