Casot Pra Viei (SMY100)

We stayed in this great cabin at the beginning of October. Luckily it was warm, so we only heated with the fireplace. There is plenty of wood. The house is clean and equipped with everything you need. The only thing missing is an oven. The drive from Sampeyre takes about 15 minutes. You can go on several hikes from the cabin. If you want more, you can reach countless other hiking options by car. We were very satisfied and enjoyed the time in the middle of nature.

Very nice chalet, clean and comfortable, beautiful altitude, with the sound of cow bells and a magnificent landscape! No 4G network or wifi (it's a total cut-off)... Small drawbacks: the chalet and its garden are in the shade from 5:30 p.m. in the middle of summer (poor exposure) and the kitchen is equipped with the bare minimum in terms of utensils... But otherwise, ideal location for hiking, observing nature, buying cheese from the producer a few hundred meters lower, resting!

Nice holiday home as a good base for hiking in the Cottian Alps. Equipment is sober and efficient. Weak internet signal and no wifi and no washing machine. That was fine for us, but you should be aware of that. Highly recommended.

The small holiday home is very nicely situated, offers enough space and is well equipped, but there is no oven, the plates did not turn in the microwave. We visited in the off-season of October and particularly enjoyed the fireplace. Please note that heating costs are quite high. The landlord billed €4.80 per m³ of gas in 2021, which ultimately led to heating costs of almost €100 for a week. So you should take this into account when planning your vacation.
