Originally built in 1741 by a wealthy Neapolitan family, this villa has been meticulously restored to its former glory. Just a ten-minute walk from the centre of Positano, it offers a grand backdrop for family holidays or group trips on the Amalfi Coast. Captivating views over Positano and the Mediterranean Sea can be enjoyed from the infinity pool and several dining areas shaded by vines. Inside, each of the sumptuous bedrooms is adorned with exquisite antiques and period paintings beneath frescoed ceilings. For an extra touch of luxury, a private chef is included with a stay here. With its beautiful landscaped gardens, panoramic terraces, and grand living spaces, this veritable palace radiates elegance.

Home truths:
*Access to the villa is via 150 stairs from street level, so this place may not suit those with limited mobility. A porter service is available for free between 4pm and 6pm on the day of arrival and 8am and 10am on the day of departure.
*While the kitchen is not photographed, it is mostly used by the private chef included with your stay. The chef provides breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner daily.
*A private chef works 8 hours a day here, with cleaning staff in the villa from 8am to 4pm. A gardener also comes to the villa for 4 hours each day.
*Four bedrooms feature single beds sharing with doubles.
*There is no free private parking with this villa, but there is valet parking available for an additional fee.
