Home to the King of Naples in the early 19th century, this breathtaking villa is steeped in history, boasting a whole host of traditional design features that are sure to delight even the most discerning guest. From vaulted ceilings to marble plinths and mosaic floors, this place has surprises around every corner, and we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to soak them all up.

It's not style over substance here though – with tonnes of amenities at your disposal, there’s plenty to keep you occupied on days you don’t feel like venturing out. Slather on some suncream and go for a dip in the private pool, get a couple of new recipes under your belt with an in-home cooking class, or indulge in a solo yoga session in the fresh air. Then, when it’s time to eat, pour yourself a well-deserved aperitivo and head out onto the terrace for a spot of alfresco dining with all your favourite people. After all, isn’t that what summer escapes are all about?
