Stayed at this beautiful house for a week after Christmas with my husband & two small children. The house is cosy, quiet and super clean. The decor is lovely also. It had everything you could imagine appliance wise & had plenty of essentials for when we arrived incl. Fresh eggs, milk, tea & cake on arrival) Plenty of space for us and the children. The owner pretty much leaves you to yourself which is nice but told us to drop to their house (across a garden) if we needed anything. You would need a car as there's not much around it but Enniscorthy is a 10min drive & Gorey is about 20min. Looking forward to booking again. Loved it :)

The cottage was beautiful.. Really comfortable and welcoming. Home made scones when we arrived we're very welcome after our drive from the airport. Love the location it was just far enough out to appreciate the countryside but close enough to a main road and a small town to not feel isolated. The owner was lovely and really helpful. I would recommend this cottage to anyone and would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.

We stayed here for one week at the end of August. From the minute we walked into the hallway we knew we had hit he jackpot! This little cottage is everything you could wish for when trying to find somewhere to call home for a week, the kitchen was fully equipped and was a sight in itself (we were planning a new kitchen and took photos of this one so we could get something similar) the bedrooms were more than comfortable and everything was spotless. We were travelling with our five year nephew and he loved the cottage. The hosts were very accommodating and helped us find our way on the first night as we got lost in the dark. When we arrive we were warmly greeted considering it was 11:30pm and had greasy scones and cream waiting for us.

We very much enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rosemount Coach House.. It was perfect for our family needs and Rosie our dog! Very cosy accommodation with great multi-fuel burner. Caroline was so kind and thoughtful in her welcome with delicious mince pies and other goodies. Many homely comforts, well equipped and beautiful Christmas tree and decorations. Thank you very much indeed for everything to make our Christmas so special. We certainly hope to return.

A stunning cottage in a glorious location.. I cannot recommend the cottage enough. The perfect home away from home from which to explore County Wexford. Everything about the cottage was perfect and cosy. The scones on arrival were the cherry on the cake. If I visit this area of Ireland again I will only stay in this cottage, nothing else could compare.

Our best holiday ever in the Republic of Ireland.. This is a great base for touring the south east of Ireland. We Visited gardens, museums, folk parks, a reptile zoo, Dublin zoo, Kildare village and the national stud. Everything is within an hour or so drive. Amazing beaches only half an hour down the road. The cottage is well equipped, and in a nice quiet location

Lovely little cottage, very quiet but handy to good roads to get about in the car, situated in a very unspoilt part of Ireland which is a bonus as well..

Rosemount Coach House was a wonderful setting for the stay in Southern Ireland.. You will need a car, but there is off road parking in a safe area. The family are onsite for any issues that arise and the lovely cakes and house tour at the start were a nice touch. It is a working farm, but to be honest it was very light farm traffic. Doris the donkey is on hand and likes a bit of fuss over the gate nearby the house. There is a pub down the road which has a lovely reasonable menu and welcoming vibe, even though the walk is a few hundred meters on a grass verge along side a fairly busy road. Overall the cottage was lovely, spacious enough to live and cosy enough to feel like a home. A log fire is on hand for winter nights, but there is oil heating as well if needed. Tescos is about 15 minute drive in Gorey and is a good size. It is about an hour and half from Dublin. Would suggest to use the Carrickmines Park and Ride tram if going for a day out, takes the stress away from driving in central Dublin! Roads are quiet in the South. We had a Ford Focus which was a good size for the roads. Enjoy!

I booked this cottage for my husband and I as part of our honeymoon in Ireland. We arrived quite late, as the ferry got into Dublin in the evening and it was then rush hour for driving. We stayed for a week, and I am so glad I picked this cottage. I would highly recommend that you take your car, or alternatively rent one, as Ballycarney is somewhat in the middle of nowhere and you may struggle to find adequate public transport to get there. We had very little trouble finding it, as Caroline made sure to give me enough detail to get us to the nearby Ballycarney Inn. It was then a quick phonecall to her to find the gateway, as it was a little difficult to spot in the dark. The cottage is set within a working farm which breed Belgian Blue cattle - farm traffic was fairly minimal during our stay and I loved seeing the cows. There are also two dogs, which are friendly labradors. On entering the cottage with Caroline we were greeted with a warm fire in the woodburner, home made scones with jam and clotted cream, and fresh eggs. She showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and furnished, and very clean. The double bed is comfortable, if a bit squeaky. There was a good assortment of pots and kitchen utensils - we took advantage of the local fishmonger's and thus did a lot of cooking whilst at the cottage. The local villages and towns surrounding the cottage have a good range of shops, as well as local historical attractions in Wexford. Caroline and Trevor have collected a large assortment of flyers for local attractions, and ones slightly further afield, so we didn't struggle to fill our days with things to do. Being set in the countryside, it made the perfect quiet getaway. Unfortunately my husband can't survive without internet, and so the lack of Wifi was a problem (for him!). This was easily sorted by purchasing a pay-as-you-go phone SIM card, which cost us 10EUR for 7.5GB of data - coverage in the cottage was sporadic, but not terrible. Overall, I was extremely impressed, and hope to return again.

This was a most pleasant stay - neat, clean and comfortable.. The owners went the extra mile to make our stay memorable, which started with a welcoming basket of fresh farm eggs, homebaked scones and tea. Wooden logs and household coal was offered to us for the solid fuel stove burner, but I had my own supply which was purchased for my stay at the previous cottage. Not wanting a repeat of my previous bad experience regarding the use of the oil fired central heating, I enquired about the usage and costs thereof, which surprised the owner as this is part of the accommodation package. I have only praise and admiration for the owners of this family run business.

I stayed here with my wife and two daughters and loved it. There was a lovely warm welcome awaiting us when we got there, with a roaring fire, and fresh baked cookies. The house was lovely and clean, and warm. It is close to a number of main towns in the county (Enniscorthy, Wexford, Bunclody, New Ross) as well as all the main road towards Dublin. This is a perfect place to set up as a base camp for a wonderful exploration of the county of Wexford. I highly recommend this rental for your holiday.

My wife and I spent Christmas & the New Year here at Rosemount Coach House, and had 2 lovely relaxing weeks as guests of Trevor and Caroline. At the end of our stay, we were so laid back we were almost horizontal. There was some atrocious winter weather, but usually we were out and about every couple of days or so, and we visited Carlow, Bunclody, Gorey, Courtown, Ferns, Wexford, and of course Enniscorthy. Caroline & Trevor's hospitality and welcome were just first class, and the Christmas tree and card, and the welcome pack were lovely thoughtful touches. The house itself was perfectly decorated - everything in the kitchen that was needed; 2 tastefully furnished bedrooms; 2 very comfortable sofas in the living room, along with the TV with dozens of channels; and not forgetting the wood/coal burning stove which was an absolute delight with a roaring fire on those dark rainy nights. As I said, Caroline and Trevor were wonderful hosts, and I thoroughly enjoyed the craic with Trevor each time I bumped into him. A highly recommended holiday home with our sincerest thanks, and we certainly hope to be back for another visit.
