Ireby is a brilliant bungalow, it has everything you want and need, my only complaint is it is too good for a holiday let, you feel nervous as there are notes everywhere about not splashing the worktops as solid wood, taking off your shoes at the door because of the solid wood floors, different cloths for different tasks, when your holiday you do want to relax, but I felt I had to clean everyday, especially because we had a dog, but you couldn't fault the facilities..

Very nice house and very peaceful day and night.. Easy to get to and central for day's out. Enjoyed our 7 days.

A warm, comfortable and spacious bungalow, nicely furnished and well equipped..   Great location close to Morpeth, Newcastle and coast.  We enjoyed our holiday here.   There were a couple of criticisms.  When we pointed out to Sarah that there were dirty saucepans and crockery left by previous guests we were informed that her cleaner was "excellent" and when we mentioned that the back lawn was very long and hadn't been cut for weeks her answer was that it was cut on a high setting on the day of our arrival.   Really??!!   Not the response we were hoping for,  but there you go. ⁣Sent from TypeApp

Ireby House is the best cottage we have ever stayed in.. It is extremely comfortable, warm and well equipped. It is perfect for our needs, my husband is on continuous oxygen and Sarah, the owner was so helpful about it. The garden was perfect for our two Shelties Lydia and Lottie, especially as Lydia’s middle name is Houdini. We will be back.

Ireby House is very comfortable and well-thought out accommodation.. It is light, bright and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the lovely views at the rear of the property. It is conveniently located for exploring Northumberland or for visiting Newcastle.

Ireby House fulfilled every need we could possibly think of.. It was superbly clean, comfortable and quiet with so much space for our family with two teenagers who need their own space. The views from the sunroom and lounge were beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed, a true home from home as we love home cooking. The utility was spacious and an extra bonus and the property had excellent access to Morpeth ( a wonderful town to visit, has the spirit of Lyme Regis we felt) and the amazing local beaches with miles and miles of incredible sand. We loved it so much we booked a week next summer even before we had finished our week there!

This holiday home was absolutely sublime.. The furnishings were all of exceptional quality and extremely comfortable. The setting was beautiful with wonderful views from the large lounge and sitting area and it was a joy to sit out in the pretty garden at the table listening to the birdsong and soaking up the last rays of the sun looking out over green rolling fields. There was everything you could possible want in the kitchen, every amenity and utensil you could conceivably require. The owners were around if you needed them and even solved a TV issue (after a minor power outage which disturbed the settings) with great speed (thankfully as it was World Cup semi final!) Simply cannot recommend this property enough.

We were absolutely delighted to be staying in such a fantastic holiday cottage.. We had everything we needed and more. We looked out over the countryside with horses in the field next to us. We were not far from Morpeth with its excellent shopping centre. Town parking was no problem with the loan of the cottage timed free parking cards. We visited Cragside, Belsay Hall and Castle, Holy Island Newcastle and many more places. We had fantastic meals out. It was really enjoyable and thank you very much "Ireby House" for a great stay.

My husband and I Stayed here with our 2 Tibetan terriers for the week . It has to be the most well equipped and welcoming house we have stayed in . Lots of thought and attention to detail has gone in to make it an excellent rental property . Perfect for the dogs who even got their own little welcome pack and a safe garden for them to be out in . The area is very peaceful and the location of Ireby makes it a perfect base to explore the area from. We have been coming to Northumberland at this time of year to visit our daughter at uni in Newcastle for the past 5 years I only wish we had Come across Ireby sooner !! Can't recommend Ireby highly enough, especially if you have dogs, there are so many places they are welcome locally as well as amazing beaches a short drive away .

Loved the spaciousness of the property, it is very well maintained and ideal for my husband who is wheelchair-bound. All the facilities were excellent, I could have moved in permanently!
May 2016
I stayed here with my dog so that I could visit my family. The bungalow is superbly equipped, the best I have ever stayed in. There were even toys for my grandchildren to play with. Morpeth is a beautiful town and it is so well placed to visit the coast, National Trust Houses and to walk along the river. My dog and I covered miles every day. I booked for a fortnight but while I was there a cancellation came up so I came back for a third week. The garden was perfect for my golden retriever and the patio was great for sitting outside.
Mrs Smart

Ireby House is a beautiful, well equipped and spacious property, ideal for visiting Northumberland.
February 2016
We stayed for a week at Ireby House, it is a nice two bedroom attached cottage, with adequate off road parking in front of the cottage. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you will need and a good large sized freezer. The utility room functions as a wash room with tumble dryer and washing machine and large sink, and an area for two medium sized dogs. Bathrooms are functional. The sitting areas are zoned into three , one at the front of the house, and the main living room and sunroom at the rear, well appointed and comfortable, the WiFi is good and child friendly. The surrounding garden is well fenced in so is child friendly, and west facing so catches the sun in the evening. This was a good rental for us and with no worry of a winter access as it is close to Morpeth and the A1, plenty of good restaurants near by and direct access 15 to 20 mins to the beaches at Blyth and the beaches further North

Peaceful rural setting yet only minutes from Morpeth town centre by car. There was an enclosed garden for our dog. The property was well equipped and spacious. The property is all on one level and most areas easily accessible for less able. Having Wi-fi access was useful.

August 2014
Fantastic cottage where the owners were very helpful and hands on if needed. Ample provisions to get started on your holiday. In lovely quiet surroundings, but within easy reach of facilities.
August 2014
Not sure I really want to give away how great this place is, but the owners deserve full credit for what they have done here. Everything about the place is of the highest quality, tastefully decorated, spacious, well-equipped, clean. The garden is perfectly secure for children and dogs, it is set in a quiet location but close to the A1 so easy access to all attractions. An additional bonus is the wet room, so there are 2 bathrooms and being a bungalow everything is on one level so ideal for people with mobility problems too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ireby for a fantastic break. We hope to be back soon!
July 2014
This was an exceptional property, modern with plenty of living space, very comfortable beds, and living room furniture. There is a big modern kitchen with an attached utility area, very handy when weather wet, and a walk in shower room. Well situated for coast, country side, shopping in Morpeth and A1.
