Hurst Green is a detached cottage situated in the Herefordshire village of Ewyas Harold, 13 miles from Hereford. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of two king-size doubles and one ground floor twin with en-suite shower. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with electric fire and a bathroom. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with patio and furniture. Hurst Green is an ideal base for families with plenty of places to visit within easy reach.

The village of Ewyas Harold is situated on the Dulas Brook, in the Golden Valley and offers two pubs, a well-stocked shop selling local produce, a Post Office and an award-winning fish and chip shop. Within driving distance are the city of Hereford and the market towns of Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny.

A lovely comfortable house, very clean and well kept.. With very comfy beds, three toilets, and two bathrooms also extremely convenient. The table tennis table in the garage was the source of much hilarity amongst four senior citizens, I imagine great fun for younger guests with more energy. All round an excellent cottage for a comfortable holiday , especially when it rains for extended periods nearly every day. The roads around Ewyas Harold are very narrow so nervous drivers might be put off travelling to the small villages nearby, but we had no problem being used to using passing places in Cornwall and Yorkshire, just watch out for 'fords' , if it does rain heavily, many turn into small lakes! Just a tip, do your research before you go, as there are many interesting places to see and visit, especially the Forest Of Dean, however, cross the Wye at Goodrich and not Monmouth as English signage is easier to read at speed than Welsh! We would recommend Hurst Green happily to anyone who wishes a home from home.

A very nice cottage, although it's more of a house to be honest.. The village was very friendly and chip shop excellent. Kitchen had all you needed. Plenty to do in area, although Hereford was disappointing, Abergavenney far better for shops and markets.

The cottage exceeded expectations.. It was lovely and clean and well laid out with everything needed for a home from home. The garden was enclosed so great for the dog to roam without worrying he was escaping. It was really close to the chip Shop, 2 pubs, a shop, a butchers etc. It is the best cottage we have stayed in so far for facilities and the girls especially loved the table tennis in the garage.

My Mum really wanted to see Bristol but we ended up staying in Ewyas Harold as this bungalow offered the accommodation we required for ourselves and a dog.. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite shower was self contained and suited my Mum and the 2 upstairs doubles for myself, my husband, my brother and his girlfriend were lovely. The property is beautifully appointed, in a very friendly village with a very good fish and chip shop, butchers, village shop and dog friendly pub close by. Our time together passed all too quickly with none of us wanting to leave at the end of the week and all of us wishing we could live there!!

Hurst Green is a lovely house, in a very quiet area of a lovely village.. The house itself needs a little updating, but it was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Black out curtains or blinds in the bedrooms would have made our stay perfect.

This property ideally placed to explore the Golden Valley and it’s wonderful historical churches.. Ewyas Harold very peaceful excellent walks from property, the local common not to be missed. The village has good amenities and a well stocked shop.

The cottage was very well equipped.. Everything you would have wanted had been thought of, especially in the kitchen. Soft furnishings and linens were all of the first quality. We were very comfortable and warm, particularly given the winter cold we experienced. Being so close to the village was a bonus. Although we did our shopping at the large superstore, the village shop was well stocked if you just wanted to replace a few things, and the local family butcher was excellent. Everyone in the village was very friendly and made you feel welcome.

Hurst Green is an immaculate spacious home.. It is situated in an excellent position for the P.O./shop, 2 pubs and a great chippy. Lovely walks in the vicinity and it is in a good central location to visit this beautiful area.

A most relaxing and comfortable property, hope no one books it when we want it next year.. The local facilities Pubs Shops Church were perfect. You could travel further afield to Pubs within 5 miles with everything you could want on the menu.

I have stayed in this accommodation on a previous visit and have both been delighted and well pleased with the house.. It is extremely clean, has everything and warm. The village has plenty to see and is close enough to Hereford and Abergavenny. As I am originally from the area it was a great base for me, and a delight for my daughters who have never been before. So comfortable that we were happy to relax in the house and garden.. The people in the village were very friendly and kind. There is a community bus which you can catch to get to Hereford which I preferred as Hereford traffic is awful. Abergavenny was a place I fell in love with.The shops were individual along narrow streets and the Castle was free with a museum. The views were amazing. I would warn people that many roads are narrow,hilly and windy. A 'B' road means what it says. A nervous driver needs to be more than cautious.

A wonderful cottage, beautifully appointed and comfortable.. Garden a treat! Limited cellphone coverage (possibly a plus)! Wonderfully relaxing, yet close enough to Hereford for shopping and to many great castles, gardens, hikes as well as canoeing.

It was a lovely holiday in a very comfy holiday cottage.. We especially appreciated the shady and enclosed garden because it allowed our dog to run around freely in the garden which made his holiday too. The weather was wonderful. The scenery was beautiful and the village was friendly with good amenities - chip shop, local shop and pub with good meals all within an easy walk.

The cottage was really homely and comfortable and had everything we needed.. We made use of the spare rooms by having family stay with us, but there was still space to escape when needed. The Temple Inn just down the road does some of the best roast dinners my father in law has had for years so even he was happy!

Lovely house in a great location to explore the Black Mountains and the lovely Herefordshire countryside.. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Owners left milk and biscuits etc which was very helpful. The beds are comfortable and the house has everything you need. It is 5 minute walk to the fish and chip shop, post office ( village shop) and the two pubs. Would certainly recommend.

We booked Hurst Green quite a while in advance, but were delighted with what we found. Ewyas Harold is a lovely little village with all the best amenities you could want from a village. Two good pubs, a very well appointed shop, local butchers and one of the best fish and chip shops you will find anywhere. The house was superbly appointed, well decorated, comfortable for the five of us and had a snug beautifully kept garden that we took great delight in spending a lot of time in! The welcoming pack of milk, tea and coffee was a lovely little touch and much appreciated. Seriously considering going back there again next year. An absolute little gem and a delight. Book now folks!

Wonderful holiday cottage with lovely little extra touches such as a welcoming tray of tea, coffee, biscuits and a pint of milk which was very welcome after a long journey. The cottage is a modern bungalow close the village centre. Beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout plus nice extras such as goose down duvets and high thread count cotton bedding. The bungalow is ideally situated in a beautiful village perfect for exploring the wider area although the lovely garden and the nice local pubs and butchers mean you need not travel anywhere else if you don't wish to. Lovely place to stay and a real home from home. WiFi here but no mobile phone signal (lovely to get away from it if I am honest). Bungalow was spotlessly clean on arrival.
