We have just spent a really wonderful week at Hope Hall Barn. We absolutely loved it. The barn is lovely, clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable and Anna and her son Sam were lovely, hepfull but not intrusive at all. There is a log burner and lots of logs supplied but it was a very hot week and we didnt need them. The barn is very quiet and rural which we loved. It is only a ten minute walk down the lane from a fabulous pub called The Stables which has a secure beer garden if you have children or dogs. The food was absolutely delicious and would highly re commend it. The barn has a brilliant, very large and fully secure garden which our dog made the most of, ot was fantastic. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Lovely cottage and host, great surroundings .. The only thing to impacted the holiday was the covid restrictions. The most comfortable cottage we have stayed in. We will stay there again if we have another holiday in the area. The local pub was great, the meals were fantastic, we eat there 3 times over the stay. Would have been more but once again covid caused problems with a reduced menu. One of our party is latouse intolarent. We had to find something different else where.

Perfectly located for exploring Shropshire and the surrounding areas.. The photos do not do the barn a full justice. It is far more spacious and extremely well equipped. The grounds are kept lovely and have a very large safe enclosed garden. Anna the host is very welcoming and on hand for any queries that you may have.

This is a beautiful cottage inside and out.. Inside it is spacious, clean and comfortable. Outside is a lovely, large secure garden. If you want to get away from it all, this cottage is ideal. The Stables pub is 10 minutes walk away and serves good beer and good food and is dog friendly. The area is great for walking and cycling and a lovely walk into Hope Valley Woods is virtually on the doorstep. Anna, the owner, lives opposite and is on hand for advice and information. She is very knowledgeable about the area and she made us feel very welcome. We loved our week in the Shropshire Hills and our two dogs were in doggy heaven.

A lovely barn conversion in beautiful Shropshire countryside.. Excellent walks, some right from the cottage. Fantastic 4g phone signal, and strong WiFi , and tv reception kept us entertained in inclement weather and cosy nights by the brilliant wood burner. Owner Anna is very charming and helpful and always available if needed. A lovely break away from it all. Thanks Anna! Bob and Judy Askew, Leamington Spa.

This was our 5th visit to Hope Hall Barn so we knew what to expect and were not disappointed.. The "cottage" is perfect for our requirements, so relaxing, up in the Shropshire hills with wonderful views across to the Stiperstones, a completely secure large garden for our dogs, and a friendly yet unobtrusive owner who has gone the extra mile in making this the perfect holiday retreat.

What a lovely cosy, peaceful and spacious cottage this is.. We were met with chocolate brownies which went down well with the kids, milk and eggs, thank you! The cottage catered very well for our two dogs (Pepsi & Bree), the boot room was a must with the occasional shower we experienced most of the week. But putting the weather aside we enjoyed the walks around the cottage, some ending up at the local pub! Anna made us feel very welcome and whilst she went on a well deserved holiday the in-laws ade sure we were okay at all times. The cottage had everything we needed, the card table got a lot of use each evening. An enclosed garden for the dogs was a delight. We’ve always struggled to have a fully enclosed garden and we’re relieved this wasn’t something we had to watch out for for the full week. The log burner was also great a couple of cold evenings. All in all, we would recommend this cottage to anyone, it was a great relaxing week. Thank you

Excellent holiday cottage in the most beautiful location with gorgeous views.. Owners very friendly, helpful and were able to recommend lovely dog walks directly form the cottage. Garden was really relaxing and very dog friendly. Our dogs were in heaven in the garden ! Cottage had everything you could want and the extras were a lovely bonus after our long trip. We will look back on this holiday as one of the best cottages we have stayed in and the most dog friendly. Thank you.

Hope Hall Barn is a great base for exploring the beautiful Shropshire countryside.. It is within half an hour of Shrewsbury which is great if you want to do a bit of shopping but also there are villages all around if you just want to have a few nice walks and stop off at the village tea room. The barn is so homely with everything that you need to make your stay comfortable and we settled in within the first day. There is a lovely pub just down the road which offers great food if you don't want to drive out to eat which is great if you have had a long day out. A lovely holiday which we all enjoyed, especially the dogs who loved the freedom of running around the enclosed garden.

This is definitely one of the best holiday experiences we've had.. The barn is spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. You can see that the owner has put a lot of care and effort into furnishing it. The whole place smelt fresh and clean. We took 2 dogs with us and felt they were as welcome as us and not just tolerated. There is plenty of room for dog crates and all the stuff dogs seem to need when you go on holiday!! The best thing for me (And the dogs) was the large fenced- in garden which was full of wild flowers when we visited. We could sit there looking at the amazing view in total peace and quiet. The owner is so helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely brilliant!

Peaceful location with beautiful views.. Secure, dog-friendly garden with lots of space to run; ideal for our two energetic Labradors. The barn is well equipped and comfortable and there are walks from the doorstep. Only 10 minutes walk to a welcoming pub too. There is a lot to see in the are and we will definitely return.

May 2018
Hope Hall Barn was delightful, from the well equipped kitchen, cosy living room and comfortable beds to the large fenced garden, our two labs enjoyed exploring.. We were warmly greeted by Anna and made to feel thoroughly at home. There was lots of information on days out to suit everyone and the local pub, The Stables Inn, was a short stroll away where the food was delicious and plentiful, just what was needed after a long day exploring the local nature reserves.

Set in a lovely location with great views. We arrived to a friendly welcome from the owner and homemade lemon drizzle cake. The cottage was so well equipped including towels for the dog! The wood burner meant that the cottage soon warmed up and was lovely and cosy. The barn and farm are up a unmade drive and it is a 10 minute walk to the local pub. This had a very good menu despite being a small pub which was impressive. Also good beer. There are numerous walks nearby. We did a good round walk which also involved a stop at the pub in Stiperstones- again another good pub with good beer and food. Our stay was in the winter. Would be lovely to visit again and sit outside. Children would love running around the garden- as would dogs in the enclosed area around the barn.

Cottage was beautiful and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable stay.. Gorgeous surroundings and a lovely host - the yummiest lemon drizzle cake for us on arrival :) Did try and make an amend to the booking and had contacted Sykes a few times and never had anything back... looked like they may had amended my booking request just didn't inform me it had been done, so maybe better communication from Sykes but apart from that everything was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hope Hall Barn.. Our host Anna was very helpful and welcoming. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. There are plenty of lovely walks right on your doorstep. The local pub, the stables inn, is less than a 10 minute walk away and has a great atmosphere and local beer and food!

We booked this cottage mainly to take our dog away from our local fireworks display. We did hear fireworks when we was outside but fortunately our dog didn't hear a thing inside. So mission completed. Enclosed garden to the rear which was great for our dog max. Now to the cottage itself there was everything you needed, loved the cake and fresh eggs, left by the owners (Thank you) very clean, spacious and absolutely beautiful remote location, but places close enough to visit if needed. We had a lovely relaxing weekend, and we will definitely be visiting again

The cottage was the most well equipped we have ever stayed at, it was extremely clean and airy. The enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs. There were the usual leaflets available for attractions in the area, but the provision of local OS maps was a well thought through idea. The location is ideal for getting to the majority of places and the views were beautiful.

We recently stayed here with our two puppies, who by the way enjoyed themselves so much they didn't want to come home! It is in such a good location, but also out of the way so you aren't in the city/town. Good/big enclosed garden for the dogs. Log burner which is amazing & a really big sized house/barn. The only negative we would have is the bedding felt like 'crisp packets' it was really noisy every time you turned over. But other than that, it was a lovely stay! We will be going back.

January 2016
The cottage catered exceedingly well for the four of us with good quality crockery, cutlery, pans, bedding and much more. The beds were also extremely comfortable and it was very convenient to have a washbasin in each bedroom. We loved the size the rooms - the utility room was a great size and perfect to leave our wet coats and muddy boots!

Hope Hall barn is a great find. we stayed for a week together with our dog and enjoyed it immensely. the cottage is at the end of a farm drive well off the road. the views are stunning and the cottage is convenient for local shops and is only 20 minutes from Shrewsbury, 40 minutes from Ludlow. the local pub is within walking distance and offers real ale and good food. when we arrived the cottage was spotless and very welcoming. heated by storage heaters or alternatively a logburner, the whole place is very warm. logs are provided for the logburner. the owner lives in an adjacent property and is very friendly. nothing is too much trouble. we can recommend this cottage... we will definately return

I would definitely recommend Hope Hall Barn to anyone who is looking for relaxing few days in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. You get to the barn by driving up a track into the hills - you really feel like you're getting away from it all. There are shops within a 10 minutes drive and lots of day trips within easy access. The barn is clean and cosy (but has ample space), has a lovely private garden, all the mod cons you'd need, and a wood burner for relaxing in the evening. The owner is really friendly and accommodating. My wife and I stayed there with our 21 month old daughter - it's definitely suitable for a toddler. There's easily enough space for more people. We had a great 3 days and didn't want to leave!

The location of the cottage was perfect, with excellent views of Stiperstones and in easy walking distance from a good pub. The cottage was incredibly well equipped, there was nothing that hadn't been thought of. The general comfort and decoration of the cottage was great. The owners were friendly without being obtrusive and the arrangements for getting there and getting in were straight forward. Nothing could have been improved on.

Hope Hall Barn is a beautifully appointed property. The owner has decorated and furnished it to the highest standard and much thought has gone into equipping it with everything needed for a lovely relaxing break. The large garden was completely enclosed and escape proof for your dog, and the Barn is surrounded by fields and woods in which to walk straight from the door. The beds were comfy, the log fire welcoming after a cold day out, and all in all a fabulous place to stay. We have stayed in cottages all over the country and can truthfully say this is the BEST we have ever been in. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants a relaxing, ultra-comfortable holiday in beautiful countryside.

A lovely cottage in a stunning location. Immaculately presented, comfortable, and well equipped. We particularly loved the wood burning stove and the Rayburn which kept the cottage beautifully warm. The garden was perfect for our very energetic dog and is spacious enough to throw a ball for her to chase.

We stayed here with friends for New Year and had a great few days. The cottage felt really cosy, with a lovely and effective wood burner (wood supplied), yet was somehow really spacious too, we didn't feel we were on top of each other! Well appointed and kitchen very well equipped. A huge boot room was ideal for coats and boots after some wet walks in the beautiful local area, including the Stiperstones, as well as keeping the wine cool! The owners live opposite and were both charming and helpful.
